I'm in the market for some adjustable RUCA, pillow ballTC rods and Subframe collars for my 240. If you have any of these from an aftermarket company, can you please give me your insight? How much or how little did they help? How expensive? Have you broken any? I am thinking to get SPLparts. Does anyone have experience with them? I have already broken a few stock TC rods. I want something that will at least hold up against a curb. I'm always hitting stuff and I hate replacing this shit everytime I do. Also, If anyone has any of these items used, please let me know.

-Thanks

Hey Mark's twin,

I've had nothing but good luck with battleversion units. I've smacked into curbs, jumped over parking bricks, hit signs, broke wheel studs from hitting into things, jacked up the car on them and everything.

After using the following parts for the past year I can tell you this. The battle version parts are still in the best condition out of them all. I also have SPL rear toe arms and dg trials rear bumpsteer arms. Z tuner tension rods. The best ones are the battle versions.

We also have cusco and silkroad. they aren't as beefy as the battleversion products, as funny as it sounds. cusco and silkroad are both very high quality hwoever.

hope this helps,

matt

I just bought Battle Version tc rods and adjustable RUCA. They've stiffened up the car quite a bit. They are very beify and well made. I bought them for $480 for the combo shipped from Jspec.com. I didn't know Enjuku carried Battle Version or I would have bought them locally.

SPLParts.com stuff is VERY top notch stuff.

Sooooo beefy.

And you can buy the individual heim joints from the as well, where most companies won't sell seperate.

Everything but tie rods (Tein) is SPLParts stuff on my car. If you want AIM me or email at teddy@floridadrift.com and I can send you some super close up pictures.

After using the SPL parts on two differnent cars, the heim joints are already starting to develop play in them. The chrome plating is starting to flake off, and the welds are corroding. These are sprayed with brake cleaner and WD40 once a week, wiped down and made showroom new after each event also. The battle version parts are still brand new.

I'd rather have chrome plating than red paint.

And the front T/C rods are polished billet aluminum, instead of the chrome plating like the rears.

Maybe the physical location of the arm helps contribute to the knicks/scratches you say yours have? I.E. lower to the ground and farther behind tire?

Mine have been on the car for almost a year daily driven and they don't have/show the symptons that you have. And I only clean them once every few months. I'll take pics next time.

How many track events have you driven? Curbs hit, wheels bent, axles messed up, etc. The SPL's are great show pieces. The battle versions are powdercoated as far as i can tell, they are in the exact same location as the SPL units. AT FIRST I liked the SPL more, but after actually driving my car, there IS a better solution and it's called Battleversion.

I was unaware that you guys ever had a BV toe on either of the cars. I.E. 'your' car had your old suspension that was the Wolverine?

How can you compare how an SPL toe and a BV RUCA and that each will withstand the same amount of abuse and 'curbs hit, wheels bent, axles messed up, etc', when they are in completely different locations in relation to the suspension geometry.

You can completely bend your rear toe link and RUCA will untouched.

i can compare the two because i paid good money for both of them, and one of them is already wearing out when OEM Nissan stuff lasted about 10 years before getting worn out.

The battleversion isn't worn out yet, shows no signs of being worn out, doesn't have the chrome plating (its not polished stainless) falling off. BTW when you hit a curb good usually the rear lower , the toe and the rear upper goes. at least when you crack a wheel.

Another friend of mine has BV TCrods. I took a look at them and I think I will go with that. BV is on the cheaper side too which I like. More $$ for tires and the 40oz ;-) Thanks all for the suggestions. Feel free to continue the arguement.

I just saw these. I have never heard of the brand but would you all trust it?

I'm always looking out for cheap stuff. I mean, the parts are almost all solid metal. How could they mess that up? Should I just spend a little more and get the BV?
