Now regardless of what you say, Buck, you crashed because you took your hand off the steering wheel, wanted to be a movie star, and put your hand out the window. As soon as that happened, you crashed.
Hope you learned your lesson.
Ranjo, when you get into a sticky situation, you don't continue trying to drift, you abort, and try again the next time around.
Good thing everyone's ok.

yes, buck knows thats the reason why he crashed... lol he was going good maybe coulda clultched kicked... but right as one hand went out the window he was left with only one skinny arm to hold the wheel... lost the counter steer and booom..
as for ranjo i dont think he is used to a manji style entry... and due to that lack of experiences he tried to continue that combo and hit teh wall... both cars are stull running... just need some body work :-)

Damn......sucks for those cars, glad everyone is ok!
Everyone made it sound like it was the tracks fault they crashed, what will they do when someone crashes hard at Ocala?............................

the way i see from the film, it definately looks as though the track had NOTHING to do with it. The white s14 was out of control loooong before imapacting the wall. Looks like he just tried to keep it going which was NOT a good idea. The blue car, well i dunno what happend there, just kinda ran straight off the course. Good to see everyone is still in one piece. Lesson learned: Don't push your luck when there's shit to hit.

Oh and btw...no one ever says the track CAUSES the crash. It just makes it worse. At other venues, if you lose it like ranjo and mike did, the worst thing that would happen would you would run off into the grass or into a haybail or two.
The track is not to blame for them losing control of their vehicles, no. But the track is what damages said vehicles when they DO lose control.

it just wasnt from me sticking my hand out the window. if you listen as well you also notice that i didnt get back into the throttle to give it more angle. that with the counter steer pointing towards the wall adds to the accident.
and yes lesson learned. stay into the throttle...
i heard ranjo saying something about his ps belt but that might have been after the fact...

i know its been said tons of times before but if you dont know or cant remember when you race or do anything while at the limits or past that of a car, crashing is inevitable. be it a little bump or flipping your car like that hawaiian did.
shit happens...

Buck you wrecked your car because you took your hand off the wheel and put it out the window.
Ranjo you put your car in a ditch at primus. You should settle down next time u go out, do one turn at a time.
Booo to the guy Miles running the event for not pulling people aside during the event and making them calm down. The venue is great, and the people are great, but the person managing the event had to be told numerous times during the 1st event to go tell certain drivers to calm down. Miles isnt too bright IMHO, and doesnt have the knowledge to be organizing these events on his own. I heart lakeland and XAT, but someone please let someone else organize these events.
yah buck, thanks for making me and taka roll on the floor.
haha.
at the exit of the corner your wheel is trying to snap back, you dont take your hand off at that point. hahahaha. your little arms couldnt hold the wheel. jk.

i steered a little straight to try and get more angle just didnt put into the throttle.
and wtf are you talking about. at least i didnt wrap my shit around a telephone pole... hahaha
yah at least i hit the backend of my car hahahaha
dude stop making excuses we all know u lost it cause u took off ur hand.
steering straight doesnt get more angle, steering the wheel to full lock does.

im not saying its not what made me crash. it was one of a few factors. you know if i had put in more angle via throttle modulation i would have pulled through. but i backed off the throttle in the wrong spot. the hand out the window adds to the first mistake of not enough angle.

just say
im a n00b
im a n00b. youre not.
you still wrapped your shit around a pole you n0n-n00b.

so what youre saying is when youre sliding and you have a good angle going and you steer the wheel straight that it wont increase the angle but make you correct and pull out of the slide. funny cause i thought when you are in mid slide and you steer it straight and keep it you spin out cause you dont have enough "counter" steer to accommadate for the increased angle.
if i had the car at full lock i would have hit the wall more dead on with that angle.
im not making excuses at all. non of it is the tracks fault. i had the wheel countered, let off the throttle when i stuck my hand out the window, felt the car catching grip and tried to steer away from the wall, but that didnt work. why? cause my front brakes were lock and i only had not even 10ft to react. i put myself in a bad situation.
whatever. im done saying its my fault for crashing and everyone saying 'No its not your fault for crashing, its your fault for crashing.' its beating a damned dead horse.

Wrong. If you had it at full lock and DID hit the wall you probably would've tagged the ass end of the car or rear 1/4.

not with that angle though. if i put more steering angle into i would have corrected out of a slide earlier, with that particular slip angle i was carrying
ouch tough luck boys. Glad to see you all were alright, cars can be replaced.

buck, you suck at drifting, if you don't wanna be made fun of then don't crash. the end. everyone learns different, but the reason you got flammed the most is cause yuou tried being a bad ass when your still a noob. all that shit comes later. consentrate on learning how to drift and not sticking your hand out the window,

buck crashed for this reason and this reason only.
he put his hands out the window trying to be a pro drifter, and he's a beginner.
See what this cost him?
Quite a few hours in labor and parts and bodywork to get his car going again. He can buy a new chassis for cheaper than it costs to fix his car.
