go to drift events and interact with people there you will meet plenty of us we are usually all pretty nice unless we hit a wall or something

No set groups or anything, it's usually spontanious and very close knit. Announcing what we're going out to do would be pretty stupid.

Touge? Nihongo o wakrimasuka? Anata no dorifuto o arimasen? Namaii wa Takumi-san nandesuka?

"ive been tryin to get into drifting for a while"

Not to ruin your dreams but, I suggest that you don't START your drifting career trying to do mountains or twisty two lane roads. I don't know how much experience you have, but it takes alot to be able to do what you are asking. Why not start at a track event or at least an open area? I know it doesn't sound exciting but If you work up to the harder stuff it will save you alot of $$ and headache. Good luck!

I agree, you end up sliding off of a road and hitting some pole. 13 years of driving the piss out of cars has made me learn a few things. In order to attack any course quickly, you have to really know the course and the limitations of your car like the back of your hand. The last thing anybody wants to do is fish your mangled corpse out of a ditch.

The thought of speeding around on roads Ive never driven before often in urban areas dosent appeal to me. Yes, Ive run Patterson with speeds climbing 70+ with Walter back in the day with the civic. I dont trust the 240 to grip that well, nor is the suspension as dialed in. Not to mention that was plain fucking stupid for me doing that now that I look back on it.

No thanks.. Ill listen who everyone else who risks their lisence and others lives to do it.

It's not like the roads we drive on are random. It's retarded to drive in a spirited fashon on any road you don't know.

just so you guys know, touge isnt what they call mountain racing.

touge directly means mountain pass. they dont say.

hey lets go mountain pass!!! maybe, lets go to the mountain pass for some grip racing.

all the mountains over here have anti drift reflectors and some have cameras.. not all, but all the mountains that used to be popular spots

Hahah, matt.

Me passing pigpen in his 5 valve on the patterson straights in the middle of 4th was fun times. Starting in the back of a 5 car group and working past them to get up behind Taka so we could go at it was always good times.
