SilverSleeper

i went out for a drive earlier tonight when i come across a 89-93 red GT with cobra R wheels at a light. the driver looked about my age so i was sure to get in a good run. unfortunately the GT had other plans and just gave me a couple short revs and turned off. thoroughly disappointed, i was just about to turn around and go home when i spotted a 93 black LX 5.0 coupe (i used to have one but it was white and a hatch) also sportin some cobra wheels at the following light. i play it cool and turn onto the highway and the LX takes the bait. we do a mid 3rd gear roll (around 55) and he has just inches on me the entire time when we shut down somewhere in the vicinity of 115. not satisfied with the marginal loss i follow him into a u-turn where we go at it uphill this time from the same speed. once again same results, he gets the jump and it is just a marginal loss. further up the road an old 60s camaro (grey with black stripe, SS?) gives the mustang a run and shuts down early due to bends in the road. the next light i line up to the mustang and ask whats done. he has heads, cam, intake and 4.10 gears (i heard a whistling noise so i am not sure he was being totally honest). he asked me what i had done and i replied "ummm just a 80 series flowmaster". well i dont feel so bad about losing now so i ask him to run from a dig with me. suprisingly the dig helped because i got all my distance before i left 2nd gear and maintained until we shut down around 80. i want to thank the driver of the black LX for some good runs
