Are they any good? a friend of mine has an f150 and found a box that goes under the seets in the back but has like a 4 1/2 inch mounting depth and this is the only sub he found that can fit in there. are they any good? hes not looking for amazing bass but just a little extra thump.

Blaupunkt is probably along the lines of brands like Pioneer or Kenwood speaker-wise.

But I would still get pioneer slim subs over blaupunkt

Tim you dont need no fucking blaupunk subs. I did an install in a kids truck that was a f150 standard cab named Josh that goes to alonso with 2 10" MTX 6000 subs and the box I built was a wedge box and Im pretty sure the mounting depth was 5". There was a shit load more room to expand but all he wanted was 2 10's. You can fit 1 big ass 12 " if u inverted it and stuck it in the middle of the two seats. Sankey built him a ghetto ass box to do this and it sounded like shit. i redid it with the 2 10's and it hit a lot louder

well this kid already has a box he bought built for his truck, it goes under the back seet and just lifts it a few inches, the subs aim down and its cut out to have 2 tens sit in it... if it were mine i would do a custom box with better subs but i was just tryin to help the kid with what i could

the back seet is connected to the cab, there is no room for a wedge box, his cab isnt anything like yours was curtis. its the fullsize with the real back seets and the 2 doors, plus the 2 like half size doors

Shoulda made a "fake" center console box, and braced it under the seat, with a single monster 10 firing downward

I have a 2001 F150 and Im rasieing my back seat to fit to 10inch DVC PolkMoMo Subs under it with to PolkMoMo Amps, the subs are going to fire up, you have the bast sound that way. If it fires down, its just going to sound like crap.

I am getting the same kinda box you are taking about. Might actually make my own. I've heard 2 F150's with them and it is basically the same as the Audiophile setup that comes with the F150(factory style box). I think I am goign to be able to use my Kicker Compv VR in mine.

Downfiring can sound awesome, especially in a vehicle with little to no cabin pressure (ie, a convertible or Jeep). The bass notes resonate throughout the chassis of the vehicle more efficiently.

the damn science of systems. who would have thought within the last 5-10 years systems would grow into what they are today, the other day my dad was telling me about how his friend had pioneer 6x9's and 1 10 inch sub in his car and everyone thought he had the best system ever when he was growing up, now they got these boxes all funky shaped to magnify the bass in each direction, aim them all differant ways to get better sound depending on your car
