This is the reason why it stopped a hour early tonight, the track got slippery from the fog / dew rolling in around 8:00.

i'd do the obvious autocrosser's joke here, but i said it at the track, no point saying it here, now :)

(for those inexperienced in autocrossing, knocking over a cone is a 2 second penalty).

As much as I really didn't want to say anything, I was going to race him that time, but needed to get some gas first and thankfully I didn't. I seriously doubt it was the dew that made him go into the other lane. Driving a high horsepower fwd car, if you get out of the groove, you let off steer back in and get back on it. Especially since it was his first time on those big tires and on that power level. He stayed on the gas and it kept trq steering into the other lane. He finally let off just as he was crossing over the line.

It was the first time on those big drag radials. 275/50/15 mickey thompson brand new. Also, it was the first time on that power level. He was not hooking very well on the launch but started hooking down the track. He had too much air in them as well.

What happened was i deciced to try and put 30lbs of boost down on drag radials with a track that was slick. With my set up when you hit full boost at 5k the car comes unglued. I got out of the groove and since nobody was next to me i didnt want to fight it and crash. So i just rode it out. I cant even explain how much skill it takes to run a FWD car on those power levels. I give 60-1EK mad props for his runs. For those who want to know when i took out the cone i went 7.90@103mph in the 1/8th. Also my car still runs it's just the tranny that broke. It wasnt my night. I only got one full pass and with the conditions i didnt want to wreck my car.
