NO

I assume you have the 1200 watt 2 channel like the one we sell at Circuit City in which case it will blow up at 2 ohms. The only way you can have 4 subs on that amp is if they are dual 4 ohm subs, in which case you wouldnt want to run them off a sony amp in the first place.

Wire the subs in series.

KEVIN- Ohh I see, since you are familar with my amp what are your thought on where I should mount it?? Also does it have any heating issues that I need to watch for??

TBSpyder- what do you mean??

you coudl wire 2 4 ohm subs to 8 ohms, then another 2 to 8 ohms, then wire the combination to 4 ohms.

but it probably wouldnt be that loud

All depends on what kind of car you have and what kind of box you have. With the prefab boxes we have at CC I hate mounting them on the box because its 10x easier to take the box out when its only speaker wire.

It is Sony...not to be blunt about it but :thumbdwn:. But only running 2 mtx subs shouldnt be too much for that amp. And in the end it all depends on how crazy you want to get with your setup, absolutely no point in having 4 subs on a sony amp, when you can get one sub on a nice amp that will probably be almost as loud as the 4 crappy ones.

hope that helps
