Well not erally a L98 motor anyway. but its an 88 vette. My boss seems to be really intriqued about turbo chargers lately with all the cool awesome buildups everyone has been doing on cars. He wanted me to see if anyone knew if there was someone making kits for c4 vettes. This will already be a 500 hp motor just on the motor itself and he wants to know whats still out there.

Probably also help if u ask in the Power Adders section. I am positive u can find a kit that can be customized for your application.

There are many turbo C4's around. Callaway use to produce a bunch of twin turbo packages. If I had a C4 I would put a huge single on it for sure..
Ever heard of the linginfelter corvette? they have a web site! sorry I cannot remember the link right now but I will look for it if you cannot find it in a web search? a little FYI though, they charge somthing like 30Grand to twin turbo a vette! but they do it right!

I will give those a try when I get a chance. Sam is sorta outta the question unless it was for the tuning since my boss works on cars himself for a living ;)
He was gonna call Calloway and Ligenfelter sometime to see, but he seems very doubtful since either of them havent touched C4s for turbos in a very long time.

He's obviously never worked in the engine bay of a C4 if he's wanting to put a turbocharger on one  I work on a friend of mines and that thing is a huge PITA to do anything on

hehehhe, Well we have 3 vettes at the shop so what does that tell you ;) They rent too bad when you get used to everything and remove a lot of the emissions crap

I don't think c4 can touch lt1 fbody in pain-in-the-ass engine bay
I mean they can lift off the whole front end almost.

ive contemplated turboing my c4 for a while. its just a matter of laying the radiator down, and fabbing a y pipe, or a log header setup possibly. sounds like if he is making 500 N/A that the cam, and compression are not going to be boost friendly.

He knows. He also knwos that block wont hold up either so hed be switching internals over to a better block and not having it zero decked like the current motor is and it should keep him safe.
Calloways setup put the turbp where the cats where and put the intercoolers uptop and were cooled by vents in the hood from what I remeber seeing of them in real life. Its been a few years though.
