Well, its an MkI, so I'm sure its worth something to someone. 79 was the first year they made them...if you fixed it up, you could probably make big money off of it. They are incredibly rare (sold about as many as Mk4s) but many have been lost over time and to age. I'd say go for it

you are cool as well... your coolness factor would apex to an unreachable peak if you owned an MK1 Celica supra. people would be sure to clear a path as you walk by them or as you pull thru the ricer meets on the weekends.

after all, its only a Celica... the supra didnt become a Supra till 1986.5...before that, it was just an option package on the econobox known as Celica.

the MK1 is the long lost relative that no one knows about or talks about... the MK2 is the relative that everyone knows about but dares not speak of it. the MK3 is the well known relative that is known about and spoken of but usually frowned upon by the owners of the MK3's offspring as they typically want nothing to do with their "nerdy" and "Uncool" fathers.

there was also a white/cream colored MK1 celica supra at the clearwater copher's, towards the back of the import section. it looked to be complete as well.

less than a G-note, and very hard to modify... they arent "performance" cars. the aftermarket is limited on MK3's, even more on MK2's... probably non-existant on MK1's... youre best bet is to either make stuff from scratch or retrofit from other cars or leave it stock.
