I have wanted a camera in my car forever, but I have no place to mount one. So I bought a harness guide bar from here...

The only problem is that the seat basically rests against the bar in a position that I am comfortable for daily driving.
I could possibly live with the seat back pulled 1 or 2 inches away from the bar, but in a wreck I think the seat back is going to flex way more than that and you probably don't want a steel bar mounted directly behind your head, even if the seat makes contact with the bar first.
So, should I ditch the bar or stop worrying so much and leave it in? And yes, it would be too much of a pain to take it in and out for races.
