Just got back in town from being gone for a month and heard they shut down sunshine but the drag strip was still open or something along those lines.... wondering if anyone knows what the deal is?

This is what I "heard". They have a deal with the county to keep the 1/8 mile open for two more years. After that the county will review the contract for a possible three more years.

Little birdie told me that the state doesn't think they'll have the money to build the road for another 10 years. Nice of Bonnie to sell out now

That's where it gets better, she has turned down two offers in the last few years from people that would have kept the track open, both were legit offers and one was recent right up there with the state by a racer and major sponsor at the track (no names  ) It sounds to me like she let her ego get in the way and dind't give two shits about the people that have raced there for all these years. If everything is true the way I was told, it's a damn shame. That track was a lot bigger than Bonnie Hill :nono:
