I just moved from michigan to Tampa and was wondering where I can get my car on a drag strip. If you fellas know any thing local and that isn't gonna cost me a shit tone of money to run let me know!

you have several choices.
bradenton motorsports park is the closest 1/4mile strip.
sunshine drag strip is in st. pete but is an 1/8mile track.
Lakeland dragstrip is also an 1/8th mile track but it is a very shitty track.

Thats about it as far as resonably close strips go. further away you have orlando speedworld (1/4mile), Gainsville (1/4), immokolee(1/8th).

I've spent to much time on I-75, another ticket and my license is pulled! I've only raced eighth mile so it would be nice to hit the 1\4 mile soon. If there's a race anytime soon, let me know. Thanks

My experience on the 1/8 mile track was a closed down air port with slick tarmack. I ran 9 seconds even on three consecutive runs. I've done a few things to my car since then and hope to be lower than that. About the wednesday night at sunshine (00accord) I would love to do it. I need to get my car on a dyno first and get it tuned. I'll be at the target meet tonight, if i don't see ya there, I'll see you at sonic's.

thats not that bad of a time through the 1/8, easily pull a mid-high 14 in the 1/4.

Hey not trying to do any flaming here or anything, I'm sure your car is nice, I was just curious why you guys try to make economy cars fast? Is it because it's a challenge and you get more of a sense of acomplishment? And also how much money did you put in your car to be able to keep up with a stock Mustang? I think those cars are quite impressive when you can take off that much time from stock.

Thanks,
Briane
