the 05 STi i ordered just got dropped off. she gets cleaned and prepped tomarrow. my appt is for 4pm tomarrow to pick it. i went up there to look at it and i knida pissed at my salesman. they had an 04 black STi up there and it was black with the gold flake. i told him thats what i wanted in on my 05 and he said thats the way they come. i go to see it tonight and it doesnt have gold flake. come to find out the gold flake doesnt come for the 05's. the gold flake is really what sold me on the car. im still going to take it but i want them to do something for me for giving me the wrong info. i doubt it though.
i still cant wait to get it tomarrow, maybe ill just get a silver one instead
:D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D
tomarrow i will be awd and boosted!!!

The only thing that isn't on the sticker is the "dealer prep fee" which I think is right around $500.00.
I would try to get them to drop the price. I paid under $29,700 plus tax, tag and title for mine back when they weren't just sitting idle on dealership lots. The '05 did go up a bit in price but I don't recall it being that much at all from the '04. There are other dealerships that will happily sell the car for right around invoice if they don't budge.
Either way, you'll love the car so no worries.

i'm surprised this happened if you bought from mastro, if you didn't buy from mastro then it's about right.

Cavy, if it's not what you want...don't sign anything! Do not leave that dealership unless you are completely 100% happy and satisfied.
If you're not happy with the new Obsidian Black, try and get a discount on that or a different colored STi. I can't believe they went through the trouble of getting the car delivered without matching your color preferences. Sean, the sales manager, should've picked up on this right away and told your salesman that the gold flake was available in '04s only.
Again, let me stress that, since you're spending a lot of money for this car, you need to be completely satisfied with no regrets. The last thing you want is to be driving this thing 6 months down the road wishing you would've gotten a different color.

Keep in mind that the 05 flake-less paint will likely be much easier to paint match as well.

There zero reason to have an aftermarket intake system installed on this car.
i'd ask for a discount on an exhaust instead ;) .. or an up-pipe ... something useful.

When does there become a need for the aftermarket CAI?
when you have nothing else to spend your money on on the car.. and just before you get a turbo timer or a nitrous intercooler sprayer..

You sure are a misguided soul. Cavy username, Honda emblems everywhere, and an STi? :D
Congrats on the purchase. I'm sure you'll enjoy.
