i have heard that the ssi models of these are compared to the jlw7's in sound quality and performance, but only half the price of a w7. has anyone heard these first hand or know of them. stereorama in clearwater has them. thanks

there was somone on here a while ago trying to sell a bunch of those subs. From what i hear, they're pretty good, but i've never heard/seen them in person. Where exactly is that shop? I might go check them out.

has anyone had any experince with sterorama in clearwater? or can suggest anyone for installation. i live in thonotosassa so something this side of the nridge would be great, but willing to dsrive if the people and work is worth it.

Hey I work there, and happened to be scurfin' around on TR. If you have listened to them in our room, then you probably agree that they are downright EVIL! We have been a jl dealer for years and still love them, but when something comes around and prooves itself....Yeah, but anyway, for the sick low end and the fact that the Treo tsx,(it happens to be mid-line) costs significantly less than the 12w7, I think that anyone would be happy with them. Treo reminds me of JL from back in the old days, when the w6 ruled supreme over the earth.

You should check out our site, sadly it hasn't been updated for a while, but we are always doing cool stuff...

Anyway I ramble, and I work saturday so see you there...stereorama.com (http://www.stereorama.com)

i actually came by today and spoke with bill. he played the tsx 12's for me and they did slam. i just havent had a chance to hear the 12w6's really hit yet. i was also looking at the ssi models but he didnt have any of those hooked up. the treo sub has some similar qualities of the jl. tell bill that the guy in the red transam said thanks for all his help and time.

Holy bshiznit that exhaust was loud! The fact that you claimed resonable HP (not 650) automatically gives you a thumbs up!
What generation are you talking about? V1 or V2? Just remember, the v1's are 12 yrs old! The v2's look nice and have the same model #, but I don't think they are much better than the w3's. This is my experience as an Installer, and acually playing with the stuff. I was accidently "boinking" one during tuning. It was in a sealed enclosure with a 500/1. This shocked the crapoutta me! The Treo subs just flat out perform above expectations. I would recommend a single tsx 12 in a fat ported enclosure. Say hello to 30 hz.
Yeah man, I'll mmake yyour ttrans aam hhuurt yyou!

hey i own a treo csx 15" sub. loudest thing ive ever heard. blew my amp though, but it wasnt because of the sub just laziness and not recharging my battery when i should of. but xfactor where is this place u work at? any chance u guys repair amps. i own a mmatts amp and i believe i need a new power supply. if u do repair em can u pm me a price for getting it fixed. also what amp would u consider me using with my sub. pm me a price for what u guys sell. i want it loud :)

To get the most out of those woofers, they need to be in relatively large ported enclosures. Two of them will take up most of the cargo area. I was concerned about space, maybe you don't care... I would rather do one in optimal airspace than two in sub-optimal.

I was the one buzzing around, gettin' er done.

Eli, we don't fix amps, sorry. The ohm load of the sub will direct you towards the amp that will work best. Zapco won't do you wrong, and they have a range of amps for different loads and money. The Treo amps seem good so far, but they need to be loaded down in the 1 ohm range to get them to hump. I don't really do prices, so call Stereorama, 727 442 5201, or visit us.

dark hair and glasses i think. you kept walking in and out through the back door and i believe you were wearing a mb quart shirt. am i right? if i remember correctly he said you were the one that was the master of wiring. i think he said your name beggined with a "m" but cant remember what it was.

you dont think i would have optimal space in the well area to run 2 12" tsx's or maybe ssi's. how do you think the tsx's and ssi's compare to the jl w6v2 ( 12" drivers )?

wait a min..........if i remember correctly now your name was matt. how do you think the tsx's compared to the w6's. sound clearity is the key. or do you think for the same clearity i would have to step up to the ssi's? how low of hz's do you think you could get one 12 ssi down to? also how much room would i have left in my well with only one ssi 12 in a ported box?

also what type of powerbank/capacitor is that in your showcase. the 1-15 farad one.

The w6 is more of an spl sub, the w7 is JL's sq piece.

what is the definition of spl, sq, and sql again?

sq- sound quality

Sorry to get back so late. Yep that's me.

I know it's going to sound cocky, but I would compare the Tsi's against the w6v2. And I would probably pick the v1 over the v2. Working with them just doesn't impress me. My favorite pick is the Tsx. Most every install with them makes me go Damn, subs didn't perform like this three years ago! I think it will make you happy.

If you don't take this car to Wal-mart to load up, then to Tsx's will sound effortless at 30hz, and still be musical enough with little overhang. The rest of the system is really the critical part for making a good sounding car, so don't neglect it. Subs only play 75ish hz and down. The rest, 75-17k. Thats a whole bunch more music!

You could do a single Csi, but most of the well will be consumed. That 15 farad capacitor in the display is a great energy storage device, and will crank a Honda for like 5 mins!(joke) It has helped many factory charing systems in the past.

csi, did you mean csx? just getting my speakers straight. my system already consists of a alpine cda-9835 head unit, 2 sets of 6.5" mb quart premium componets.

deciding on amp for mids and highs right now. looking at either sutotek 900.4, zapco 1000.4, or jl 450/4.

and as much as i hate it i am probably going to have to wait to do my sub(s) to pay off the head unit and my mids and highs. i am sure you canb understand that.
