stock bottom end, 346 cubes, rather large cam ;) and some halfway decent heads:D tuned by Mr. Formato.
478 rwhp and 414 rwtq naturally aspirated no nitrous, no blower, pump gas freindly 10.7 to 1 compression.
Still has some tuning issues and a few tricks to squeeze a bit more out of it. 500 rwhp NA from 346 cubes is within reach.
Thats one stout combo.:D

But.... its still 42 less cubes ;) j/k
Sweet setup James! The stock motor seems to make alot of power, especially over a forged setup.

Brandon heads strikes again. This head is actually not ideal. But it still works well enough...obviously. I am going to go out on a limb and say this car may see 500 rwhp NA 346 stock bottom with a few more tweaks.

Congrats James!! Your dynograph is sick.. Thanks Vince...Are you sure about that 42hp? Actually going by your #'s 546 RWHP = 1.33 hp per cubic inch the lil 346 is 478 rwhp at 1.38 hp per cubic inch:lol:

vince made 555 rwhp i believe. and we dont want to talk about peak power and area under the curve! big cubes = broad powerband. could be a great race on paper! ;)
onesweet, your car sounds good. bit loud lol, but good.

What's the intake port volume on those heads, with the added epoxy?

Are those ls6 heads? Any flow numbers?
HybridSS
11-21-2004, 05:40 PM
They are 6.0 heads and they flow 338 @ .600 lift
but the midlift is crazy. at .400 lift they already flow 285 cfm...at .500 they are 320 cfm
Keep in mind though these head were setup with a 4.060 bore. They are now on a 3.90 bore. Thats why they are not ideal. That and a few other minor things. But they are obviously still effective.

The heads are obviously effective. We got a chance to see them in action last night;)

03's = :bbb:
Those things are a pain. And my turn around time is just short of eternity. (ask Sam!!)
I think once I'm set up again to start doing work (just moved), I'm going to stick to the high end custom stuff (read $$$$) like Al's....er James' heads. ;) But we'll see.

Thats really impressive numbers out of a 347, I honestly did not think it was possible, I really thought all the guys on ls1tech were liars lol and yet we got a ringer down here in FL locally!!! Grats OneSweetz06 on the stoutest head/cam package around !

run race gas, open header, no belt, and turn that timing up and lean it out! atleast that is what the other shops do with these big cam and head combos.
