sunvisor monitor wiring question

this may be a dumb questin but help out a rookie. i just got my 2 sunvisor tvs today:-) and of corse they dont come with directions and i have never wired up tvs befor. there are 3 wires red black and blue. what dose the blue hook up to? also what should i wire the tvs to? battery cig lighter ext.

i think the blue wire would be the remote turn on for them. you can just tap them into the same power and ground wires for your head unit i think.

You usually don't run a remote turn on to monitors...who knows though.

i think they would need to have a remote turn on wire, or else they would be on constantly, and draining your battery when your car is off. I'd just tap it into your amp remote wire.

hey look instrustions. its amazing what you find at the bottom of the box lol. anyway i gess the blue wire is for if u have a rearview camera when u put ur car in reverse the tv automatically flips to the camera. o well i dont have one of thos so the blue wire is useless to me lol. thanks for all your help tho. one question tho. if i run them strate off the battery what kinda fuse should be used?

Dont run them stright off the battery, having to turn them on and off every time will blow..run them with a relay, and like a 20 amp fuse

Just curious, how is the video transferred to the monitors? coax, rca, svideo?

Should be fine. If it's not, your lighters fuse will blow...no biggie.

yea it works fine. sorry about the caps i always hit the button and im too lazy to hit it again. anyway my setups all complete i juss need some finishing toutches. i got 2 alpine 15 inch typer r subs with a 2000 watt amp, 2 visor monitors and a ps2. now all i need is a fm modulator and a box that will fit in my trunk cuz rite now my box it up on 2/4s cuz my weel wells flare out 2 inches at the bottom so the 2/4s lift it enough to fit over the flare. any ideas on a box design to fit 2 15s in my hatch?

juss sumthin that fits and looks good and isnt gonna slide around. i was thinkin maby goin with fiberglass but im a do it yourselfer and although i know how its done i dont have expirence with it. weight is an issue with my car cuz i need new shocks and it bottems out everywhere not to mention my car lack of torque. if you have any pictures of tegs with 2 15s i juss need some i dea of where to begin or if any of you wanna help out soot me some prices(cuz everyone has a price)

as crazy as possibe as long as it is remobveable and wont dammage any of my trim panals or anything. but if we could get sumthin that would look tight as fuck and can be takin out (without using saws and hammers) i got the mony i just need the help. plexiglass/fiberglass neons whatever ill go all out juss lmk
