Question GT2871R (.64) with t3 style housing/Full Race Manifold?

I was interested in seeing if the Full Race Manifold with a GT2871R (.64) would be a good match. Now before I get too in dept, I am trying to understand and learn a few things about properly matching pieces to get the most effective results all the while trying to learn the terminology(sp)when discussing turbo parts.

I am shooting for the GT2871r (.64) for my SR with all the nessacary bolt on's to reach the 350ish whp mark. It was suggested to me to use all the typical bolt-ons, tuning and modify the stock SR manifold and go with a external wg. All should be good. That seems to be the best option out there so far for response and the power range I am looking for.

BUT....

If you swapped the t25 housing for a t3 style housing and bolted it to a Full Race manifold would it be a good match. When I say good match, I mean the FR manifold is top notch. The GT2871r is a small turbo compared to the typical turbo you would even consider matching a FR manifold to. Would there be any issues with the way this setup would work in terms of FR versus stock/modified SR manifold?

Though I know the cost of the manifold is high, that is a issue Im not concerned about until I know what Im dealing with.

NOW, I've spoken with Geoff from Full-Race who has given me some good general. But some of the things he was trying to explain I couldnt understand. He did however send me a link showing the difference in running a bigger turbo GT3071R(not the new one)and a GT28RS on a B-Series motor. Grant it its a different motor, he tends to disagree http://www.honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1045887

My concern is shelling out that much cash to have an "unmatched" setup. BUT if the benefits outway the cost, then by all means.

Another issue we discussed was running the GT2871R internally gated )on a FR Bottom mount manifold. The difference is bottom mount t25 FR uses a 1.442 ID tube where as the top mount t3 uses a 1.610 id tube. Geoff also mentioned that with the FR the smaller tube would increase low end tq and response where as the larger tube frees up top end so your tq can not fall off.

Im not sure how that matters with the turbo in question.

Also he said because Im looking for 350ish whp to check out the comparison as listed in http://www.honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1045887. They used the same design as a top mount SR would and the 1.610 id primary. (Im was not able to follow what he was getting at with that).

Anyhow, I wanted to ask here first as there are alot of turbo gurus here on TR. Sorry for the long post.
