I know on the Alpine demo car website they use superglue to get the framework of their parts put together:

Here is an example:
Alpine Civic MDF Frame (http://ecominet2.alpine-usa.com/html/adc/adc_install_lrg4.html?par=i1p7c4)

Now I tried to find a large bottle of superglue and didn't find anything but the small tubes so I just bought 4 of those and used that. When I glued my MDF frame pieces since I had such a small tip I could only get a little on each piece. At first the frame pieces were on there perfectly fine but when I began stapling the fabric to the superglued frame pieces while supporting them w/ my hand on the other side buy they just started falling apart from the impact.

Does anybody know where I can get a big bottle of superglue or any other method that works. Or a forum that talks about this topic.

Here are the pictures of what I wanted to put together:

OK! My type of fabrication!!!

Go to your local hobby shop. Ask for CA glue, its just superglue. Thay might call it airplane glue. there is also a stuff called "zap a gap" which I have used, its a gap filling superglue, works the same for me. They have divverent viscosites and dry times.

AND THE BEST PART. The "insta-set spray" its an accelerator that causes the glue to set up inlike 2 seconds.

As far as the fleece on the frame. buy an extra bottle of the glue and GLUE it on the frame. The staples will almost always break some of the glue, so just glue it on instead.

something like this

Kevin- liquid nails wouldnt work since youd have to hold it in place for a long time... my ported box now has ai think 10 screws in it... I aligned the pieces, superglued them together..then gorilla glued the seams.

i think a hot glue gun would work pretty well too.

Ive found a hot glue gun is too much hassle, and doesnt prvide enough bonding power. I've always had hot glued stuff pop apart.. and I mena always..from popsicle stick houses in the 4th grade yo

thanks for the help

I definety couldn't use the glue gun or nail stuff b/c of the time it would take to dry but the advice w/ the hobby glue is great. I'll go down to one today and grab some and on with the fabrication.

sounds good to me jesse. does that ca glue work on anything? cuz there are times at work i could use some really good glue, not just the hot glue crap we have.

Also, on a side note, Liquid Nails actually breaks down over time and will come apart. Usually not a good idea to use in box/enclosure building applications.

Generally everything, I think plastic on plastic will come apart if forced..glue really works by having something to seep into pores..so if you scuffed it with sandpaper maybe.. but I glued a lot with it..carpet, wood, etc..
