2.4l swap

I have a 96 Mitsubishi Eclipse GS. With about 95k miles on it. The motor smokes and needs a rebuild. I was wondering if the Chrysler 2.4L shares any parts. I DO NOT want to put the Mitsubishi 2.4 into this eclipse. I was just thinking that if the 2.0 and 2.4 are both Chrysler based engines that they might share oh lets say, the block. What can i use ie.(trans,intake and exhaust?)?That way i could MAYBE do something alittle different than just adding a power adder. If knowbody knows i'll just mind my own business. Thanks

find someone with an SRT-4 that will let you measure dome dimensions, im sure with enough money and custom fabbing it can fit.

same basic motor, but the mounts are diffrent and the head is reversed, you might have to get mounts made up and use the eclipse head

Are you talking the 2.4 SRT motor or the older 2.4 Stratus motor? The older motor is the exact same only 1 inch taller so you'll be able to swap it with a few minor issues like the oil pan and engine mounts. Check out the forums at www.2gnt.com and you'll find a few 2.4 swaps there.
