That's fine, I'm just letting him know I have cash in hand ready to pay. That way if he doesn't want to wait around or anything like that he knows he has someone interested with cash in hand. Last time I checked more then one person can be interested in a part at one time. If I didn't want you having first dibs I'd just offer him more then he is asking guarantying that I would probably get the part.
