2 S12L7's, 2 Kicker KX600.1's Sealed Box, with 2 Gauge spilt to 4 gauge, soon to get 2 1.5 farad caps

Nice. That box looks way too small though, and don't waste your money on the caps.

i need to im getting a yellow top (the reason being for the caps is cuz its all going in a crx ;)) Small bat and alt MIHGT put out 12.1 volts lol, i just dont want the lights to dim and caps are cheaper than reworkd alternators, and im using 3 cu ft ported boxes, that box just came with it im in the process of building my ported box now

So I assume that isnt your car? caps are bandaids anywyas, while they may help in some cases, there is still the matter of you drawing more power than the alt can provide, cap or no cap

no this was the setup in the guy who i bought it from, im hoping that when i dont have it turned up, it will recharge enough power to be alright cuzi dont wanna spend much more money on this setup lol. IE the Yellow Top optima, and 2 caps 1.5 farad is still a cheaper option to me right now than a new alt, Did i mention these were going in a crx :), im waiting on the to arrive at muh house should only be 3 or 4 more days w000t!

i think the caps and yellow top will be fine. check ebay for caps. all caps are pretty much the same..

I dont like caps, they are a waste of money and do nothing but add a extra load on ur battery that is already struggling. Caps are only good if ur current electrical system can handle the load. Invest your money in a yellow/red top. I have a yellow top as my main battery and I get slight dim when idle but when driving I have no dim at all. I am running a 1500 Hifonics and 400.2 Hifonics as my amps.

Personally im glad that i got my yellow over the red because i play my system sometimes with the engine off and there was always enough juice for my truck to start. Not sure if the red has the storage like that

I said don't bother with the caps because they usually don't do a damn thing and can even actually be a hinderance, especially in the case of a high output sub/amp setup. Really, the only tried and true answer to a weak electrical system is a larger alternator. If you can't afford one, saving up would be a better option then spending a lesser amount on a bandaid.

Where are you buying an optima yellow top for 50? theyre 159 or some shit at autozone

I paid $120 for my red top. If you can get a yellow for $50 you better jump on it because that's one hell of a deal.
