IMO if youre clueless you shouldnt jump into car audio based on those subs. pick up a nice head unit, speakers, and a sub, itll be plenty, especially if your not an audiophile.

for an amp, I would go rockford fosgate... they are highly underrated in power though, you will even see a little slip inside the box that says it. Like 100 Rockford watts is close to 300 random ass Sony watts. Also, if you are new to car audio, you might want to sit in someone's car that has something close to four 600 watt RMS 10s in it and see how you like it. It isn't for everyone.

seriously you're going from no stereo for two years to 4 kicker l7's ?... quite possibly the loudest and hardest hitting sub .. ever?... what, you don't want your glass anymore?

seriously though, 4 L7's is going to be overkill

if you already have 4 of them, in all honesty i'd build a box for a single sub and get a nicely matched amp for it... then keep the other 3 for when the first sub, then the next, then the next blows up. and they WILL blow up.

I dont think that they WILL blow up my friend had two 15s l7's and a 3000 earthquake amp and that thing hit hard as hell until it got stolen. :(

I dont plan on abusing the little guys, trust me I am very hesitant about wanting to crank them up. Also i've had problems with my ears my whole life and they are way too sensitive for something like that so the only way id even consider cranking them up would be showing them off while outside my car...

ok mr. sensitive ears... here's the deal. at MOST i'd put 2 of those 10's in the back. 4 is just going to be silly. that way, you'll actually be able to adequately power the subs without fucking your alternator.
