I think they should just make cages on your mph not on your ET.

the classes are set by E.T.

What about 1/8th mile? That's where I'll be running the most. I know 8.49 and faster requires a helmet, but when would I be required to use a roll cage?

This is true but I still don't think cages should be made manditory per say what E/T you are running. Cause if you run 11.5 @ 130+ and someone else runs 11.5 @ 119 most likely the person in the 130+mph car is going to come out worse then the guy doing 119.

Alright, thanks bro.

I shouldn't have to worry about that unless I make a hail mary pass on a second stage of juice.

Thought it was 7.50s? 6.40 would equal a 10.x pass in the 1/4
and they do have cage requirements that tie into speed as well.. so it's possible that you could run a 130+ slower than a 11.5 and still require a cage.

no if u go on there web site it says 6.40s or faster need a cage.i think its because at that speed they think you'll be ok if u wreck
