i've gone 6 months before
it gets real bad around 2 months, and then after a while you just start singing a lot and finding other stupid ways to entertain yourself during the drive. just don't let anyone ride with you. because they'll look at you real weird when you start singing out what's on passing billboards.

a month was long enough for me, i resorted to putting the stock tape deck back in....but my Eclipse 8053 goes in in a couple days so its all good, only on some cheap type s speakers though until i get some more $.

I'm going on 3 months, doing alot of singing. and touching myself inapropriately at red lights (thats a with or without radio habbit). The annonying part is that i have MB quart Q's and an IDQ 12 all just waiting for a head unit.

I think it was about 4 months after I bought my car when I installed my head unit to replace the 0w single-din empty airspace the car came with. I promptly blew the 15w rated 8ohm stock speakers to the point where only one made noise, so I stopped listening to the radio. I just recently replaced the speakers with CDT CL-61a's and an Avionixx 400.2, which at least play music loud enough to hear over my open o2 housing.

i kind of liked it without a radio. It was easier to drive my bug that way because it didn't have a tackometer, so i had to guess when to change gears based on sound. Kind of made it fun. Damn, i miss driving that car.

I find myself driving without music sometimes. I dunno, having a manual tranny does it I think, because when I had an automatic, i ALWAYS had the radio on.

just take it apart and try to fix it. it's not gonna really matter if you break it more.
