So when I first got my 04 SRT i noticed that when at full throttle it was pushin around 14psi and the needle would stay there.. we put the mopar bov conversion on there and it worked fine for a day.. then the shit would start droppin down to 10psi.. so we removed it. Drove it again and still the boost will only now spike at 14 and drop to 10psi.. any ideas?

little colder outside... the PCM controls the boost based on temps.

Also, make sure that the surve valve plate is on there as tight as possible.

On a some what related subject......

I just put the Mopar BOV plate on and couldn't get the passenger side bolt tight at all!! Now I'm hearing a whinning sound (which I assume is related). How in the hell do I get that final bolt tightened??? The metal lime that goes to the turbo (I believe it's an oil line) is in the way. I was barely able to get it off, and not tightening it back is impossible!

Also will this whinning hurt my engine/turbo at all??? Just curious so I can make sure i can drive it temporarily until I get some info on how to get to the bolt to tighten it.

Someone help!!!!!! :P

buy a ratcheting wrench. Do it when the car is cool. From the passenger side, reach around the exhaust manifold and over to the BOV. It can be also reached from the bottom but thats overkill.

That ratcheting wrench will make life easy though. Make sure the plate is facing the correct direction

Yeah I have the racheting wrench, and everything's in alignment....I'm going to try going through the passenger side today. Someone else suggested that also. I'm assuming that will make things a lot easier.

that whining noise is from that bolt not being on, trust me I know all about it =P

Ok with that being the case, will it hurt anything with the bolt being loose for now??? I plan on getting in there again today or tomorrow to try again to tighten it, but before I do, do I have anything to worry about with hurting the turbo/engine?

Sounds good.....hopefully I'll get it tightened this weekend sometime, but if not at least I know I won't screw anything up.
