Jsimon9633(TurboRSX) vs Insanecivicsedan

Well we finally got a run in last night. And it was a good one.

Started from 40roll. 2nd gear was even, Shift to third , even MAYBE a bumper for Chris. 4th gear, He starts crawling away from me and by 100-105 he is up 1car MAYBE 1.5 cars.

Nice close runs just like I like them. I am not one to make excuses, he beat me and it gave me a nice outlook on how my car is running in comparison to a pretty quick car that Chris has.

One Issue I keep having is my Apexi Avc-R and my lack of ability to tune the thing heh. It boosts 10lbs in 2nd and 3rd but in 4th it drops to 9lbs. I will get those kinks worked as I am sure Chris will do the same on his and we may redo the runs.

I wouldn't mind a run Alberto. We should be even on low boost, as that's about what it looked like Chris was doing to me, a slight pull on me in third, however we had to shut down cause of traffic.

I was having some misfire issues due to a bad cap and rotor but mainly in partial throttle, So I really have no excuse.. Full throttle when the MSD puts out more power, the misfires disappear..... My only complaint was my traction issues until about mid third gear, but Im sure Alberto probably has the same issues... Good runs, and we will definitely give it another go if youd like when all the bugs are worked out of both of our cars... Thanks for being so cool about it Alberto :thumbup:

BTW, Smurf, Albertos car is not slow by any means... I have beat a few of the "fast" V8s, and he still gave me a pretty good run....

He wont, he has no traction even in 2nd he said so doubt he would from a dig. I have street tires and he has drag radials so I get worse traction than that.

:lol: The funny thing is that stock Type S dynos at like 170whp :lol: :lol: I had turbo on and it dynoed 150whp at XAT, maybe they had the "I hate hondas" program on heh.

nah Ill give you credit but I guess you just have a stock monster that is putting out more than usual power than cause stock cobras are fast but yours sounds ummm a tad faster than that.

my car is slow compared to track day domestics lol, i saw 11s all day so yeah I cant go 11s so its slow lol, it has a little pep to it.

not really, i still dont believe that a stock cobra will beat a car like the celica by that much cept for yours apparently. cobras arent THAT fast stock, they are FAST but not that fast. and so what if i told you stuff, you can defend yourself, why does he need to come on here and help you do it? Probably, my car put down 280/280 n/a and weighs about 2900 .. so it should be a descent run .. although I'm sure the boosted honda will prevail. :(

I'm not sure how much mine weighs .. when it had 186hp I got it to run 8.89@77mph at sunshine, so it must be pretty light, :dunno:

The carpet in the car just slides around and there is no sound deadener to be seen. The welds help with weight, too.
