LS1 and a S/C Cobra

Well, on the way up to my girl's house on BB Downs I run into a dark blue/black LS1 who flys by me. So after a few minutes of pacing him, I pull up beside him when we get a couple of open lanes, and we go from a 65 mph roll. I got the jump and kept pulling on him. He caught up next to me and was really interested in what my pos had done to it. So we pull into a gas station off Fowler and bs for a while then leave.

On the rest of the way up to BB Downs I run into a red Cobra convertable(95ish but had vertical tail light). I pace him for a couple seconds and he just gives me this "I am too good to race an import" look. Well we end up both getting off at the same exit(BBDowns). We are sittiing there waiting for the light to turn green and I can hear a unmistakable whine coming from under the hood. Keep in mind this guy has a sleeping woman in the passanger seat. We both leave the light and I get on it a little in first to let him know what i want. he gets beside me at about 40 mph and you can hear he is staying in 2nd gear, so we both lay into it and i jump him off the bat and never stop pulling. I see him fly by me after I let off and the girl is now sitting upright and probably pissed she was woken up to get beat by a Mirage. I tried to get next to the guy to talk a little bit, hell I even honked the horn at him, but he didn't want to have anything to do with it.

I would have loved to talk with him, but some people are sore losers.

The Cobra had to be 96-98 from what I gather, so it must have been a pretty quick car with an aftermarket s/c. Nice kills. ;)

I am not the Mirage that ran OneSweetZ06. There are a few quick Mirages in Tampa. The one that ran OneSweetZ06 is 2 seconds faster than me in the 1/4 and traps 17mph higher. I wish that was my car.
