It's called paying for the cost, time, know-how of getting a high quality DVD made of us, and re-assuring the fact that the next event will be taped as well.

I can't wait to look back 3 years from now when we are on DDElventyBillion and checking out DD3

Here's the problem with DVD's......NOBODY BUYS THEM.

I made a DVD of DDAY1, had 2-3 hours of footage, nobody wanted to buy it. I made 30 copies, sold maybe 8, gave away the rest. It took me days to edit, and burn it, and I didn't make a single penny of profit, in fact, it cost me money.

On top of all that, I got alot of emails from people who wanted me to give them "just there footage". Overall, it was a huge pain in the ass. You try to be nice and do something for others, and for what?

Did you notice me taping at DDay3? Nope, and I finally enjoyed an event.

charles, we appreciate your video taping the events... i can understand the frustration people go through when they dont get into any sort of video... but maybe for those making dvd's you should take a preorder and make people give a deposit or take prepayments to ensure their purchase... i know i was pissed because my own friend's didnt record our runs...

Actually, alot of the upgrades that I purchased to produce the DVD HAVE NOT been used, other than to produce that DVD. I've made a few small home videos of my son, but that didn't half the stuff I bought.

It's not just about the money. Like I said, I actually enjoyed DDay3, because I got to enjoy watching the action. I also enjoyed the fact that nobody pestered me for video afterwards. Those who are currently editing DDAY3 will attest, it takes ALOT to do it.

I spent alot of time taping DDAY1, DDAY2, and Miami Driftshowoff. Now, I am preparing to particapate in these events, I will no longer be a spectator.

Glad to hear it. I tried editing all of it, but it does take a lot just because I'm trying to include like everyone even if they didn't do amazing. Oh well, I'll probably have one done by the end of this week even though it's BORING as hell editing.

Boring? nah.....tedious, yes. I shot on average 3-4 hours of footage. it's not easy compiling that.

its bc u tried to sell them for too much. i offered u $10 at cars for cancer but refused and would only take $15. im not paying $15 for amature video on a $1 DVD-R and $1 case. i could have had another $10 in your pocket, oh well.
