Quaker Steak and Lube 10/07/04

Quaker Steak and Lube (www.pinellaslube.com) has been nice enough to offer us their location for a weekly meet on Thrusday nights. Hopefully we can grow this into something very similar to their Wednesday night Bike Nights.

The date is set and we will be doing this for the first time in two weeks, Thursday October 7th. Certain areas of the parking lot will be coned off starting at 5pm for our use. Lets try and make a great showing on the first night of this and show them what they can expect in time.

I'm going to be sending a link of this thread to Bill, the owner of the Pinellas Quaker Steak, so he can keep an eye on the growing interest. I spoke with him briefly today and gave him some stats off the top of my head and he was very impressed with the site and felt that doing this could help us both out. Let's not disappoint.

Yeah, I used to eat there all the time when I lived in Ohio too. It was awesome to finally have one down here.

That's one of the great things about having the owner's consent and help putting this on. It's his property and we can ask people to leave if they aren't behaving and actually have a leg to stand on if it comes to getting them removed...as opposed to just showing up in a parking lot with no owner backing and having a meet.

Hey - can we change the time to 7:00pm? Most people get off work at either 5:00pm or 6:00pm so I thought 7:00pm would be a better time to meet up. It would give people a chance to get home and change and then come out. Just a thought. :)

They are gonna start blocking off an area at 5pm, we don't have to be there at 5pm. When ever ya getz there will be cool. I work till 8pm so, I should be there around 8:30ish. Can't wait!
