Results are in for the first two days - I just skimmed it but here's the highlights for CFR folks.
Ian Stewart, 2nd in SM2
Robert Palmblad, 7th (trophy) in SM2
Keith Robertson - 13th in SM2
Jim Bledsoe - 17th in SM2
Jamal Mardini - 18th in SM2
Katie Lacey, 2nd in SML - Nice Job!
Neal Tovsen wound up 20th in SM - out of the trophies this year.
Jason Minehart wound up 20th in GS - also out of the trophies.
Not sure what happened to the Sheild's but Sharon showed up as DNS on all of her runs both days and I couldn't find any results for Danny at all. Anyone know?
Oh, and Todd Morrow Trophied in his first Nationals - 11th in BS. Nice Job!
We just need a national champion now.

Gracias. I know I should feel grateful but I really sucked. There's no reason that I shouldn't have given the top 3 a fight but I just sucked. I drove scared - no aggression - can we say PUSSY on here?! No cones hit - no off courses - no passion. 11 of 49 and 13 trophy spots (cigar boxes?)...that's 10 guys in front and damn near falling out. I have plenty of excuses (the biggest being that I never got hammered out here :) ) but they'll have a serious fight next year whether it's AS or BS. Most of those guys aren't as fast as their reputations but they are well funded. Ian could kick the shit out of BS with any of the top 5's cars in his hands. He did trophy in the Miata but the cars handling seems to have been butchered by it's owner.
Danny, Sharron, and the Merideths couldn't make it out due to job obligations related to the storms. I think Danny would have given the Vettes a whooping on these courses.
Jesse and Jim run today and tomorrow. I hope they both trophy.

Jesse & Jim finished up 5th and 6th, respectively (both taking trophies). Nice job guys. CFR brought home a lot of hardware.

Why did I sell my S2000 again???
Todd next year I'll have a co-driver who doesn't wake up at 5am so we'll go get wasted. I seriously think Bob's problem was he took it to seriously. If he'd just relax and quit overanalizing everything, I have a feeling he'd enjoy alot more success. I really needed a good night of drinking to relax the ole nerves. Next year STU will be lucky to make a class and winner isn't concidered a national champion(or at least doesn't get a jacket) So No pressure anyway. Maybe I can borrow a BS oops AS car for next year.

What happened on Friday? After the protest was upheld, I was hoping to see both of them move up (2nd, 3rd? - Buetzer wasn't going get caught w/o having a bad friday). Glad to see a better finnish this year than last for Jesse - Was this Jim's first Nat's?

Who's got excuses? I got excuses!
The front tires corded Friday morning. The car wouldn't turn in worth a damn. We had enough money to have fresh rears (wear almost 2x as fast as fronts) but not enough for new fronts. With new fronts, I think we had a firm chance at staying 2/3. We had 58 runs on the fronts going into Thursday.
Also found out that my konis are dead. Drove Mark Davis' MR2 and mine back to back on street tires, with the struts full stiff. Same street tires, same swaybars, etc... his was MUCH firmer. Next year, at least the front will have 8610s upfront. Also, the car may go on a diet...there's an easy 80 lbs to dump off the car.
Of course there's always stuff like my engine has 140k on it, while people like Paul Brown and Cashmore's have less than 10k and are factory maxed out. In one particular hard 90 into a long straight, both were going to 3rd or bouncing off the limiter 20 yards before my car.
Next year's goal is to go chance Ryan and Cashmore if he doesn't sell the car.

Hey Jesse -
Jason told us the story yesterday. Sucks that the fronts corded. Still a good showing on a worn out set of hoosiers. I want to see one of these Nationals trophies. See ya at Brooksvile.
