Ok so here it is.

Rules.

Post up review that you've had of tires. SPECIFICALLY DRIFT RELATED. Good/ Bad? Give a little explanation as to why it was good / why it was bad. Also, give a little explanation as to your car in terms of power , type , etc, which will help explain to other people whether or not they should expect similar results with their tire. Mounted out back or up front? This will be important to know as well, some tires work better out back then up front, for obvious reasons.

Tire suck it up a whole lot? Get too few runs out of it? Post pics of the destruction of that type of tire in your post!

Hopefully we can get enough peopel who've tried enough types of tires so the people reading this forum will see which tires to get, and which to steer clear from.

Posts that are not doing anything for this thread will be deleted without warning. Posts that are +1 without giving a good review will be deleted without warning. quoting huge paragraphs in this thread will be deleted without warning. So make sure it contributes, and make sure your thoughts are completed and conveyed in a correct manner so that anyone can understand them. Make sure your grammar is decent as well, this too may result in it being deleted.

Lets get it started!

I am driving on Falken ZIEX 512s at the moment. My car is an 87 Acura Legend with stock 15x5.5 rims. 195/60-15. These tires are very good for daily driving. They grip decently off the line. I have about 160hp and used to be able to chirp my tires going into second now they almost never spin off the line.

I have done three autocrosses on them and they have a lot of sidewall flex. I think if you stretched them or put them on a wider rim with a lower profile they would be pretty decent.

I would reccomend them if you want something that will be quiet, wear well, and and keep you safe in the rain. Autocross or aggressive driving they have been above average compared to most other tires.

On my TE37s I had Toyo Proxes FZ4 and they were very worn when I recieved them used. My Volks are 16x7 and the tires are 215/40-16. I did one autocross with them mounted on the front and the Falkens in the back. They seamed very responsive, turn in was great and they were progressive to the limit. I could spin them like crazy but lateral grip was excellent compared to the Falkens. I think that camber and age caused them to lose some adhesion.

My car has some camber from being lowered 2 inches ( I dont know how much).

I havent drifted either of these tires but I wanted to add my comments.

I love this tire. This is probably my favorite tire that is readily available in the USA. Up front or out back, the grip is incredible. It has a pretty stiff sidewall as well, you can practically run out of psi and still ride on the sidewall. (They also make a run-flat version) This tire runs large, so if you are looking to get extreme fitment, please do a test fitment with some used avs sports or something before spending big money on a tire only to find out you're rubbing because these suckers do run big.

Yes, they are a bit noisy when they start to wear down. It's due to the wonderful yokohama Y's that are in the tread compound. Good thigns about this tire: Awesome wear characteristics for what it has. patches of tire don't always fall off on this tire, though when you get it to it's very bit of minimum tread, it will delaminate. So, just keep an eye on that and don't run them to the absolute skin. Also, the treadwear. Yes, thse tires only last 7000 to 12000 miles, much like a falken azenis RS if you run these suckers hard. It's the price you pay for good grip.

Predictability is awesome. Throw the car into the turn and the front tires grip and the rear tires grip just as hard. when they start breaking away, you still have a good feel so you don't immediately lose the car. This tire may be harder to use for an extreme underpowered car without good suspension, as you may not be able to throw the weight perfectly and have the suspension response that you need in order to get a lower horsepower car to slide.

Wet traction is incredible. I wish I would have had these on the back when I hit that sign!

Downfall? Price. you get what you pay for ,unfortunately.

keep them coming!!

Bridgestone Potenza's

215/60/14 - Not a bad tire for paying 20 bucks for used ones that were a bit dry rotted. I only got to play around in the rain and mud with them while drifting, so I can't say how well they were, grip in a straight line was horrid however. I would rip third on low boost from a roll sometimes. My car is still nearly impossible to drift w/o oversteering and doing a donut.. stupid suspension.
Over all, I liked them for used tires, held up pretty well to the multiple abuse I put them through. Probably 10K miles for 20 dollar used tires, several minuite long burnouts, rolling spins through first, second, and third... etc.

Not bad in the rain, but had a tendancy to lock up when breaking. Could be the brakes however, they seem touchy on my car.

The sidewall ended up blowing out because of dry rot.

Not a bad CHEAPY tire.

Need to be specfic on the model Potenza Jeff, there is about 30 of them.

Best tire ive ever had on my car was a Potenza Re720s I believe they were. Discontinued now, and were discontinued when I bought them. They were a 245/45/16 and where $88 a piece at the time.

I was thouroughly amazed at the level of grip they had dry and wet. The first I took a corner, I was in first gear at a decent rpm. Half way into the turn, I jabbed the throttle. All that happened was a chirp and pure acceleration. This was when the tires only had 10 miles on them and were still being broken in, on a not so grippy road.

These are still the only tires ive ever driven on that had that same grip wet as it was dry. Not that it has a lot to do with drifting, but I used to be able to leave hard from dead stops in the rain and get no wheel spin whats so ever.

The only downfall was the tires only had a 180 treadwear and where about gone in 10k miles of spirited use. If you can find a pair laying around I suggest pick them up.

The Re720s were replaced by the Re730s, which I tried and are also now discontinued. Pretty much the same as the 720s, but about 10% less grip overall. They lasted a lot longer, but also had a tendecy to grab crowns and imperfections in the roads a lot.

Current tires are Yokohama ES100. Very nice tire overall. Still nothing compared to the Re720s I had. Wet traction leads something to be desired, but not all that bad. They do grip nice when push comes to shove thru corners on grip runs for the most part. They wear the nicest of all the tires ive owned and have last the longest. They cost me about $100 a piece for 245/45/16s

FALKEN AZENIS SPORT
SIZES USED: 195/60/14, 205/50/15, 205/55/16

The only tire that I have ever owned that gripped better was my S02 poll positions I had on my 17s a long time ago, and not even that much. I have owned azenis' since like the 2nd week they came out, starting on my accord 2+ years ago and on every car sence. You cannot beat this tire for the money, i dont care what anyone says, its the best tire you can get for your money. 14s run $48 each and 15s run $55 each.

200 treadware tire might sound bad, but I average about 15-22K miles off these tires and i have gone thru about 10 sets on various cars. They are damn good in the rain too, except for when they are getting completely warn out. They have EXTREMELY stiff sidewalls so you have very minimal roll over and with my experience, never have to exceed 38-40psi to keep them from rolling. The tires are naturally made wider, for example the 205/50/15 is actually 211MM wide, which is why the azenis' look wider then they should, bc they actually are.

they autocross EXTREMELY well. The only time I got beat in my accord in street mod was to someone running slicks. I finished 3rd in points for the season in SM with my accord in 2001 and 4th in 2002, in 2003 i finished 3rd in STX with my WRX running these tires.

The only problem they have is that they are VERY heat sensitive, the minute you get too much heat in them, they will be slick as hell. Your not going to have this problem drifting with them on the fronts, mainly when your autocrossing. All I do is take my wetter with me, which is a garden poison sprayer that i fill with water and wet down my tires after each run.

Once you buy a set, you probably will never buy anything else.

dude i only got 9000 miles out of my azenis's on the front of my 240. they grip, but don't like being heat cycled and get rock hard towards the end. but thats what i'm getting for the front again. for the back since i have no power i love any used 60 series or lower michelin. the hardly chunk at all and you can drift on them until there completely smooth. best street drift tire. very predictable and not very noisey. either MXV4 plus or XGTV4.

on my car, (currently sitting in my garage totalled) i was running kumho 712's. they rode decent. and cornered well, but handled horrbly at an autocross, and after wearing a bit they get to be horrible in the rain. (hencece the reason the car is totalled)

i had ze512's before that, i liked them, but they wore out very fast. like 11000 miles, with no autocrosses.

Car 1990 240sx
SR20 ....
Had Tien S-techs on in the begining. I used my 17x7.5 front 17x8 rear wheels.

With 235/45/17 Kumho MX's front 245/40/17 rear. Had these on for about a year. They would grip to hell, however they required heat to do so. So when I went autocrossing with these, I would go to like sunriders which is a very small course the tires did not have much time to heat up. That combined with the crappy S-techs I was unda unda unda, all over. I recomend the MX's as a good alternative to autoXers instead of the Azenis,

However they are a huge NO NO for drifting. I as well as matt have seen what these tires do if you try to drift them. Once they get past the recomended heat zone all they do is CHUNK. So they would be questionable front tires for drifting, and not useful rear tires in drifting.

Azneis Sports, 225/45/17 what can I say that hasn't already been said. They are great overall tires. I use them constantly for autoX and drifting. The only thing I make sure I have is a Pest sparyer to hose down the tires inbetween runs to keep them cool, where they are still sticky (Don't worry the tires dry off before you get on the track) Again, they only last a year or so (bought my tires last year this time, probably have one more month in them, but the cost makes up for that)

Also I found a goldmind for low power drift tires. 195/65/15 I located a set of used Bridgestone Turenza's (40%) tread off a galant (they are factory tires for many cars, including the accord) so these tires used, there is a surplus. These tires are great for drifting. I have used them on several occations, including both Ddays! and there is still plenty of tread left. They wear forever even in drift competions, However since they are an all season tire I do not recomend them for higher power cars. (I can spin 1st, 2nd, and most of 3rd.) But if you have a dieing KA this is your tire.

Azenis ST115 245/40/17 These are the "recomended drift tires" They work well with my Azenis up front to take away some of that well known understeer that the S13 have. Since they are less grippy than the Sports, but have enough grip to keep my comfortable in the skidpad (.98g on uneven surface) I feel i can pull to 1g if I had a bit more traction or a smooth surface. I have only had these tires for a few months so I can't give a full review, but no complaints so far for these tires! they seem to wear a bit better than the Azenis sports, so I might swich the fronts to St115's. And see how the car handles.

These are the tires I have expermented with over the last 2 years with my car. Im most likey to stick with this combination (unless those color tires go on sale sometime soon, I might pick a few of thsoe up to try and drift on,)

Ok. Here I go. I'm not toooooo knowledgable on tires, but with the help of Matt I've come to like the Yokohama ES100's.

I pretty much agree with everything Jerrimie said. They are great overall gripping tires. I used them for auto-x. They have excellent turn in. I think they're good for their price and being street tires. They don't wear very fast, unless you drive performance A LOT or have wrong camber, alignment, etc. That's how I ruined mine. :(

I have yet to try any actual racing / performance tires. Once I can afford this and wheels, I will definitely try some that have been recommended.

i have a 89 nissan 240sx. stock sohc, tein s tech springs on stock shocks, and a welded diff. , The tires I use are Cooper Cobra tires in the front...size 205/60/R15 i believe, and i just got some clean brand new used GoodYear Eagles 205/60 or 65/R15. They are great, good for everything, Drifting and daily driving. I paid $65 for the pair of used goodyears...it wasn't worth it, don't buy it guys! I really want to try the Advan Neova, Falken Azeni, or Bridgestone Potenza.

85 corolla very stiff suspension.

Right now for driving around I have falken zeix512.

Front: 185/60/14 on 7" wheel
Rear: 195/60/14 on 8" wheel

I hear alot of people complaining about these tires but on a 2000lb car stretched onto wide wheels they feel very predictable, not too noisy, and grip like mad in the rain.

Front specific, I can feel them flex a little bit on longer turns but they don't get noisy or lose grip. They feel like a regular tire on hot days, but in the rain they are much better. I'd say they are somewhere between an all season touring tire and a summer performance. They are nowhere near the insanity of azenis but inspire a little more confidence than a set of futuras or whatever.

Rear specific, for driving around they are comfortable and pretty much act like the fronts. However, when I break them loose they feel alot smoother with a flatter response. I don't feel as if the rear is "loose" or "flying around" like I do with some tires. Also, the smoke is nice and smells good :)

I hope this helps those of us with smaller cars.

I dont have a pic but the stock Goodyear Eagle tires on my mustang... those suck ass!

I know 4 people with v6 stangs and one of them (who was a girl) didnt speed, didnt beat on it, do burnouts.. her tires lasted 20,000 miles.. the rest were much lower..

mine... well my car has 12000 miles on it, on the original tires.. i dont burn out (the 1wheel peel pwns me) but i do slide it around like 2 weekends a month.. and i like to carve corners... doing that has pretty much destroyed my tires.. they start to lose traction on a 45degree turn in the hot humid heat going roughly 20 mph  when its wet... well i just dont drive anymore.. its seriously not safe...

im thinking of going with Fusions next, are they any good?

paul kersey
09-22-2004, 08:18 PM
fusions are junk.
its your best bet to stay away from cooper, or any lower line of a bigger tire company i.e. fusion, visa, mastercraft and such, for any type of performance driving.

im very partial to yokohama and falken, ive been constantly surprised by the level of control i can find in almost every tire either company produces. however, i just burned through a set of the azenis st115s, and i swear ive never had better tires on the car.... theyre not even the rt215s (grippy ones)!! they blew away the es100s they replaced in every category, and stayed grippy until they were nearly bald. moreso, removing the tires from the rim tells you a lot about it... its hard as crap cause the sidewalls are so stiff. thoroughly impressed.

i had 225/50/16s on the Z32 wheels, and they lasted every event since the first dday at spc, not to mention countless nights at the orlando spots. they wear fast compared to your standard all season tire, but its worth the money for the fun factor

craig_302
09-24-2004, 12:53 AM
Nitto 555's.

Crappy when cold, crappy when hot. In the 275 mm width I had, it felt like I had space-saver spares on the back that were as hard as stainless steel. Cornering was impossible and mostly a dance of how fast you could jump off of the loud pedal before you spun in a basic maneuver. The more they wore down (and trust me, they wore down really fast), the harder they got and the more they spun. First gear was worthless as was second. And that was just on the back.

The fronts provided you with all of the understeer of your favorite FWD rental sled from Budget when pushed even a fraction hard. If you've ever tried to drive a car with 4 bald tires hard in the wet, this is what dry traction felt like. The only way to overcome the super slick front tires was to do something stupid and nearly lose it with the back of the car.

My rating: Poop.

Those are the tires on my car(stock)..they are pretty decent dont know how they would fair drifting conditions, they grip pretty good,'ive had mine for 18,000 miles and still have about 5-7,000 miles left on them...
Overall BFG rated them at
Tread wear-7
Wet Traction-10
Quiet ride-6
Handling-9

Might be a decent tire for drifting?i give them a thumbs up though..

Bridgestone Potenza RE050:

Smokes a ton, but doesn't really grip that well. SUPER FAST WEAR! I had a set with approximatly 50% tread left before hitting the wearbars, and they lasted only 1 PASS at DDAY4.

On another note

KUMHO ECSTA 711 : I used these up front. AWESOME TIRE! I couldn't believe it. They work as well as ES100 in my opinion for the front!!

And finally:

I finally got to use the ST115. Everything that agemomai mike said is true about the ST115 and drift. However for autocross, i would still stick with an ES100. same goes for up front. For out back, i'd rock the ST115.

I love my azenis sports. They grip amazing and are cheep.

What do you all think are the best smokey tires. At D-Day I was unhappy with the amount of smoke mine work making. Sounds kinda funny I know. I need to rebuild my diff and I know if I was making more power it would help, but I think I my tires should have beet putting out more smoke than they were.

KUMHO ECSTA MX

Wow! I didn't think these were going to be as good as I had thought, because previously these ones fell apart. Well, I used a few sets of them yesterday at Ter Tech, and let me tell you. No Chunking Yet!!! Up front I'm using 225/45/17 out back, 255/40/17. The amount of grip that these tires have is amazing. When they get hot, they grip well also! They remind me of an ST115 but on crack. Figure more grip than an ST115 when hot, and tons more when not overheated. I like these tires.

Supposedy they are awesome for autocrossing and what not also, which is absolutely believable, given the amount of turn in and grip the front of the car now has, even with a 30mm stagger.

well, i haven't tried many tires, the ones on the stock rims are toyo proxes FZ4, they grip well, especially in the rain, on my shitty 929 meshes, i have one bridgestone turenza, and one dayton daytona, both 205/60R/15, and dry rotted, they also were quickly. i just got some free Falken ziex's 195/50R(60R)/15's have yet to try them.

that's funny that you had that many problems with 711's

previously ran my stock SE 7 spokes with some mastercraft all seasons 205/60-16 in size. they lasted through 4 full drift events and could have gone several more if i had kept them :). but as with all shitty narrow tires, they were hard to handle and once they heated up you may as well have been driving on an oil slick.

on my 17's i was running kumho 712's for quite a while, good overall tire but now that prices are getting more competitive there are lots of other options in a similar price range. i got around 15k miles out of them before running them at the private trackday at ocala a while back and they made it 2 laps before they delaminated on me:
http://www.photodump.com/direct/esanford/shredded712s.jpg

after that i threw some used yokohama Avid H4's on the back 225/45-17 and they did pretty well. lasted me most of the day from half tread depth and didn't chunk very bad at all. not super smoky, but they would smoke pretty well on longer turns like the oval at ocala:
http://www.importatlanta.com/events/2005/ocala/imgs/DSC_7815.jpg

ever since that day i've been running kumho ecsta MX's and love them. i've done a few mountain runs on them (north GA and tail of the dragon) and they heat up and grip like mad. haven't gotten to slide on them much as of yet but we have a local event coming up next month that will have at least 1 3rd gear turn so i'll know how well they drift then ;).

I got Falken ziex ze-512s a couple weeks ago, and as tempted as I was, I didn't run on the rears for dday6.. though I do know they are smokey!

I did, however, run them on the fronts, and man did they grab. I had little to no understeer (last events I had crazy understeer), although it is probably a combination of getting better and good tires.

i personally dont go autocrossing at all. i have big cars. so far i've had KUMHO 712 235/40/18, YOKOHOMA PARADA SPEC2 215/40/18, TOYO PROXES 4 245/35/20, AND FALKEN AZENIS 245/45/17. I'VE used all of these in my past for daily street driving. i got to say that i HATED the KUMHO for its lack of grip and fast wear. MY 2 favorite are the YOKOHOMA and TOYO. they have good grip and last OKAY (about 14 months). NOW, the FALKEN AZENIS, they grip like SUPER GLUE. But were too noisy for daily driving. SO i took them off and now i have em up for sale on one of the THREADs. only used for a month, so still NEW tires.

ok heres the deal. falkens are ok if you have them on an everyday ride. kum ho's.... i mean kumhos you get what you pay for, they are cheap n u get shit. unless youre like me who deals with tires every freakin day(WORK) and checks his pressure everyday and balances and rotates n aligns his own tires everymonth, dont get them. the best tire if driven in are the BFGs KDWs(awesome in autoX). bridgestones, firestones wont last you sh*+ unless again u take care of them like they were babies. oh n yeah if you drop your car a couple inches PLEASE!!! make sure you fix your camber, caster, and toe. in other words get your car aligned and/or get a camber adjusting kit because seriously im getttin tired of seeing all dese fucking tuned cars with one side of their thread bald. AND then they wonder why they cant grip!!!!!!

i was thinking the 5000's might do good for the front being asymetrical like the azenis. (not saying the compounds are the same or anything else).

maybe ill buy two of each.
and for xMyUSErNAmeISrEaLLyHarDtOREAdxX, i have thousands of tires in any size id be willing to sell, seeing how i do work for a very large tire company.

the sp5000s have a super stiff sidewall, and the tiger racing drift team uses them on the 18's for the front, maybe on the rear as well. sam seems to like them. we were changing tires for them at dday6, and even with ray and matt helping i couldnt even get the sp5000 off their rim because the sidewall was so tough. i had to reinflate it and tell him to take it somewhere else, haha. enjuku doesnt really have the proper tire machine for that case, but it works beautifully with the kumho mx's.

and as for the kumho's, the ecsta mx's are just plain awesome. not to mention the mx-c's :-D even on the rear, they've got tons of life in them, and once you cut into the tire they grip as easily as they make a smokeshow, apparently.

i like the falken ZIEX 512 for the back, lots of smoke and they don't come apart.

Update on my tires: I ended up getting the Fuzions and put 5k miles on them and there is virtually no tire wear, not to mention they grip so much better when i need them to and if i jerk my car around they slide well also... cant beat the $71 a tire price tag either..

drove on the sp5000's for a weekend or so, they were pretty good, didnt understeer too bad, and would still slide somewhat decent with my stock ka.

i think i might buy 2 fm901's and 2 sp5000's in the same size, since the 205-55-15 looks a trillion times better on an se wheel than 195-60.
also, taylor said he loved the fm901's at auburndale. really sticky though.

I would say the Ecsta SPT or hell even the Supra 712 - ASK BILL about kumhos in the rain!@!!!

piner
08-18-2005, 08:34 PM
I agree with bill some of the best underpowered drift tires are the MICH MXV4's they wear like iron and are very predictable but they dont smoke enough

I have had 225/50/16's zeix 512's on the front of my S12 and they griped great and were good in the rain and they wore alittle fast but over all a good tire for the front as my understeer was gone after i got them.

The other Zeix's the 502's i think. I dont really like them not very predictable with their grip I had 205/60/15's on the rear of my s12 and they smoked good but otherwise i didnt like them

yeah and Potenza RE050 wear faster than any tire i have ever seen.smoke good.

Goodyears well almost all of them suck

one tire i wish i could get but cant since i think concord went out of business
is the concord "performance radials" 205/60/15 those tires took a year to wear down on the rear and i was drifting almost everyday for 15-30mins a day for 3 weeks before my first practice event and the tires just wouldnt die. I took them to the event did about 24 laps on them and then drove 160 miles home on the same tires it took me another week to kill them down to the steel belts even then i drove to key west and back on them then did 4 consecutive burnouts on them and they still didnt pop
terrible sidewall flex though the practice was all about unda unda unda even with the fronts at 50 psi
But they are good for the back and smoke decent

paul kersey
08-18-2005, 09:07 PM
just a note: most of the tires that jut say "performance radial" on one sidewall, and a brand on the other are either made by kelly springfield, or another bigger company like cooper.

pretty easy to come by, just maybe not with the "concord" label on them.

i have to say, i just had a set of worn ot dunlop sp sport 2000's and DAMN!! even being almostworn out they still had grip out the ass. not many people like dunlop, but i think they are one of my favorites along with the kumho 712. but one thing i noticed since i haven't had dunlop's in a awhile is that they make absolutely NO NOISE!!!! seriouly, you all want a good street drift tire go get some dunlop's!!!!! i had forgotten since it has been so long since i had my sp sport 8000's on my corolla. dunlops make no noise at all. they are just a little pricey. but soo worth it.

paul kersey
08-19-2005, 07:26 PM
the 2000's are near impossible to get.
they were oe on some vw's, and bmw.
the 8000 are about the same tread compound and stuff, just directional.
5000 are asymetrical.

i wonder how the fm901 is? but i would go for the 8000 if i had the money. the second best tire inthe rain (only to the kumho 712) and just as stickey as the azenis without the crappy heat cycling. and on top of that is so quiet when at the limits that it doesn't attrack alot of undue attention when sliding on the street.

paul kersey
08-19-2005, 11:20 PM
taylor really liked his fm901's at auburndale.
ive always liked dunlop sp tires, the cheaper ones are shit. but the performance ones are usually pretty decent.
fm901, and direzza are both pretty inexpensive though

just wanted to add that i drove on yokohama as430's in the rain today.
i guss yokohama makes them for tire kingdom, but the avid h4 is very close.
anyway, they were fucking awesome for normal driving. no hydroplaning, good handling, and quiet.

ill probably buy a set to drive on daily.

i wonder how the fm901 is?

They are heavily praised, kinda like a more expensive ES100.

Tony Shultz was running these on all 4 corners at the Miami Homestead event.

ST115's all around :thumbs Up: Predictable but grippy, but the limit is very open and fair warning is given before they lose grip. Not bad for the money if you can afford it. Oh and they dont chunk no matter how hot you get them

i was driving with yokes as430's all around but i had to get new fronts so i went with my steelies and let them ride on sigma tempest 155/80/13's they are as tall as my 185/60/14's and they steer better as front tires the rears are almost bald so i can still slide or die

I wanted to chime in and offer my $.02 but I'm gonna keep it rather simple since there's a bunch of tires I've used and I don't feel like typing so much.

Sizes are 215/45/17 front and 235/45/17 rear. Most of the time when I drift, I'm forced to use a slightly slimmer rear tire b/c I take what I can get for free and deal with it lol.

ST115's...very predictable, nice grip, never chunk, make good smoke, and last a decent amt of time. I don't know how or why they grip so well with such a high tread rating. All around good tire.

ES100's...hated them. Funny that Matt loved them, but I did nothing but battle with understeer and loss of tractin when I had them up front. On all four corners at an auto-x I found it hard to predict when they would lose traction but when it happened, there was no going back. Really, I just loathe that tire.

Proxy T1-S...pretty similar feelings about these as the ST115's except that they got really crappy as they started wearing down. They are my fav or 2nd fav REAR tire though (can't decide between the st115 and these)...a tad pricey.

Potenza SO3...best WET grip tire I've ever used. Really good dry grip too. STIFF sidewalls but the tire noise that goes along with it is pretty annoying. Too expensive for my blood these days to attempt to drift on them. In a perfect world, these would be my rainy day street tires.

Hankook RS2's...BEST dry grip front tire I've used thus far. So much grip. Never understeered once with these. I've had em for only a couple thousand miles though so we'll see how they react once they wear down a little more. Awesome value too. I doubt I'll ever run them in the rear except for an auto-x setup sinc they'd probably wear fast.
