redline an automatic

my car is an automatic dohc with nothing but a intake and cat-back exhaust. lately when i gun it it red lines and hits the rev limiter once then shifts kinda hard and takes off quicker than normal. it sounds like its making it's self faster but it is not susposed to do that. im afraid when i install the turbo, whenever i take off with like 10psi that im going to constantly hit the rev limiter. any one out there can help with this. or is it ok.

ive researchd a lil bit about turboing the 420a and they say not to run more then 8 psi thats pusshing it 7 is what alot of them do push

sounds like your fluid is low, thats what i would try first. flush and change. if that isnt it you bands need ajustment. and for amount of boost 8 pounds is all you want to do. ive seen alot more but you need a good set up and tune. no room for error when you running more than 8 pounds

yah im planning below 10 psi for now. but i will try changing the fluid i dont think it has been done in a while
