and i sucked... i got an sti clutch and flywheel like 3 weeks ago and ive never pushed it hard so i thought i would go to the track to test it out, so the first time ever launching or racing i got a 9.9 with a 2.2 60' time, its pritty shitty from what i hear but i made 3 runs best was a 9.7 with best 60' of 2.1, does anyone know how to launch on these grippier clutches??? any input or critisism is ok...... oh ya and i didn't see any wrx's out there, does anyone from here ever go?

Were you bogging when you came out of the hole or were you just leaving to soft? What RPM were you leaving at and were you slipping or dumping the clutch?
I used to leave at ~4500rpm with a pretty swift clutch slip, gave me decent 60's (1.8x) with no worries about rounding a gear.

the first to times i bogged down and the 3rd i did a little better and it really hard to slip that clutch, so i was trying to slip (yet it was more like dumping) from 4500

Your new Sti flywheel may be hurting your 60' times. Being much lighter than stock, it won't hold the inertia built up by the motor. Not enough gas and you'll bog, too much and you'll spin. Try reving to 4500-5000 rpm and slip the clutch. Should atleast get you under 2.0 in the 60'

:w/stupid: I would say go back to the stock flywheel for drag racing. Trapping at 120 w/ a 2.6 60' is no good.:(
