View Full Version : Neons/SRT mods
Just wanted to get some ideas on what you guys are doing with your cars.....
Are you going all balls out in a drag car?
Auto X/Suspension only?
Balance of both?
I had my car modded very close to the 300whp mark a good while back. Traction was a bitch, I overlooked that
So due to finances and 'long term' goals, I have pretty much dropped back to Stage I, Intake and Exhaust.
That being said, my suspension is pretty much completed. Mopar Stage II Coils, Mopar sway Bars, Poly bushing all around, and some 225 Toyo Proxes. Only time I can spin them is in a turn flooring it in second:lol: Who wants to donate a LSD to the cali cause?
Oh and motor mounts are gone....dont have any real need for them since coilovers and control arm bushing pretty much eliminated wheel hop. I'm probably waitingon Stage III now...and that will be the end of this car.
I know skittle is juicing his, and Alex has the PSF-FI kit....who else?

i dont know how different the srt is from a 1st gen, but i drove with bad mounts and ripped the core support in 2 peices. $450 later it was fixed. wouldnt recomend driving hard with bad mounts.

I'm aiming for both side. Plus I prefer no LSD on my car. Traction bars are next on my list. hehe!!

No, NO mounts here. Those LCA bushings and coilovers do wonders...

i broke a agp mount in mine....i think it was the shop at fault...i dont think they torqued the mounts...thus causing the passenger mount to completely fall off...then the bolt broke in half and the belt hit a ac line causing me to have NO ac for now and it sucks ,going back to stock for the warranty...

i have a 1st gen. mine is slowly becoming a stock srt i just got the intercooler and the stock turbo setup will be here in a month. nitrous is also being out on. front strut bar and coilover springs are the only suspension mod's so far.if anyone upgraded their srt-4 hnd has extra parts let me know i would probally buy them.
i've done most of the basic bolt-ons and its made a big difference so far. basically all i have left to do is to go turbo, which ill be doing real soon.
