Default Vr6 vs 1.8t?

Which is a faster car? I've been trying to race a 1.8t, I have a vr6 but couldn't find one. Jetta and Gti's?

What year is your VR6? If you have an MK3 you should be faster than any stock 5 speed 1.8t, if it a 6 speed, they stay in boost better so it will probably beat you unless the driver sucks. If you have an MK4, it is pretty damn close between the 180 hp 1.8t and vr6 12v but you should never lose to a 150hp 1.8t, if you have a 24v VR6 you should be able to beat any 1.8t. This is assuming you and whatever 1.8t are stock.

Chip, turbo, blah blah blah 1.8T will win. Same mods on VR6 I doubt it.

stock for stock, the vr6 usually takes it. altough i did run a upsolute chip'd 1.8t at the track a few times and would always come out ahead. maybe the weight difference made up for him having a chip.

bang for your buck, modding the 1.8t is easier...but potential wise...the vr6 pwns....i got the 1.8t because i only plan on minor mods.

stock for stock like bisquit said the vr should win now mod vs mod the vr should still win
now i know i am gonna piss of those lil 1.8t lovers BUT who fukin cares
easiest way to put it is this how many vr's are putting down 500+whp (many)
now how many 1.8t's are (not one known to date)

how many vr's are running in the 10's (many)
now how many 1.8ts are (not one known to date)

last but not least if the 1.8t is such a great motor VW wouldnt have gotten rid of it

1.8t's are much easier to upgrade, but nothing is like a vr. the vr sounds much nicer, and with the right bank account, its potential is much better. So i say VR....
