crappy pic off my phone but it gives an idea...un finished also.. and dont try to steel it.. you WONT get in
and if u can notice on the very top where the trunk lid opens, thats going to be a big plexy glass mirror with the word MUSTANG etched in it with lights shining threw it to make the writing glow.. all the cut outs in the bottom are the same way, exept there just clear etched plexy wiht the lights.. on the side of the subs where the panel to form it to the side of the trunk is, those are the same way with the plexy and lights
How it looks right now. I tested the brahma subs I was talking about before, and I honestly dont have enough power for those ATM and they sound SICK... just going to stick with eclipse but getting the titaniums

thats the old one.. same exact trunk though.. it will be in as soon as i get my alarm up on it...there not exactly cheep though haha... 2 weeks tops is my guess.. could be longer though :dunno:
the lights arent fully done yet.. there all sunk into the wood to shoot threw the glass but there not wired in with power yet.. if u look u can see a bundle of little wires on teh left of the sub.. theres a bundle on each side haha.. 31 led's back there.. 6 in each big whole (red, green, blue x2) 2 in each little one (x3) (red, green, blue all in 1 bulb) 3 on each side of the trunk lid part, and 3 more shooting down in the middle of the trunk lid thing..then 2 on each piece beside the subs.. i think thats 31 haha somthing like that.. there going to be set up to where i can leave each color on solid, individually, then im getting this custom bored made that will make them change witht eh beet so its constantly changing colors.

yeah they are much brighter, and use like 0 power compared to a neon, plus there easier to hide, and look alot cleaner then a big fat ass bulp running around the box or whatever

Type R's really did dissapoint me. I used to own them and decided to go E's. Wally, Alain, Sankey all had the cone seperate from the surround. Come to find out it was a common problem wit the R's. Plus i never blew an E before and I put those thru hell and I blew 3 R's
radio shack has all that shit.. but the LED's at radio shack are expensive. Buy them in bundles from ebay.. just make sure they arent weak dim LED's..

lifes a bitch, experiences theives could get in im sure. I know alarms arent 100%. I know experts could jack my shit in a min, but how many expert theives are going to go around and go thru a lot of shit to steal say a 500$ system? Majority of theives are kids/amateurs. Alarms WILL help against that, plus I have some peace of mind at night when I sleep now

A common way is to use a transparent clouded decal. You can take basically any design to a graphics shop and they can laser cut the design for you. Slap it on the inside of the plexi and you're done. You can't tell a difference from about 3 ft. away. If you're getting it etched for free though than you're set, that caliper of custom work can get a little costly and obviously takes alot more skill.

yeah it doesnt give the same look though... when lights shine threw the etched plexy glass, all of the glass gets a light tint of whatever color i have on, and where the etching is it glows much much brighter so the picture or writing etched lights up...
the lights arent behind the glass.. there literally shooting threw it, the lights are sunk into the wood and when the glass sits in there they but up to the edges of it

The whole theory is the accessibility for a theif. Think about it. A single thread with detailed pictures and info. of thousands of dollars worth of electronics equipment just sitting in unsuspecting vehicles. It's not too hard for someone to do a little research through a quick post search on a given individual and find out where they hang out, work, etc.. Not to mention I drive around town and recognize cars I've seen on TR all the time, not too hard to put two and two together...especially considering it's a local board. And I'm sure to a theif it would be well worth it to spend a little time researching and tracking someone considering many of you have some pretty valuable things in your cars. That's just the first thing I thought of when I read the title.

I see. Yeah it sounds like using that method, etched glass would be more vivid. What's he use to etch it? Dremel tool?

lazer machine does it.. you load the design you want (scan/digital pic/internet pic) and you size it and all, then the lazer etches it all..the differant depths and stuff give you differant glows, and im actually doing where there are 2 lines everywhere.. 1/32 of an inch apart and it gives it like a sparkly type of look

back on topic, i think i got a pretty good one. Just put in my Image Dynamics 4" CTXs and damn, do they sound good. I am ordering some Image Dynamic 5 1/4" CTX for my rear fill and getting some Image Dynamic 5 1/4"CSX5 Chameleon Series compentents for my doors, but i got to build a door pod first. Looking at either a Hifonics amp or an Alpine v12 to run the front speakers and let my rear fill run off the headunit.
here is some pics of the stuff i can find.

I dare anybody to steal my stuff any time before I wake up today- my audio setup has been sitting under my bed for two months, a cunning anti-theft strategy. My old Pioneer 4400 head unit, an input adapter split into an input for sat radio and one to a 3.5 stereo jack for my laptop, freebie sirius receiver, cdt cl-61a's, avionixx 400.2 amp, and a nifty install kit and some 16 gauge from wally world. I don't drive my car very much so I haven't bothered to install it, but I'm finally going to put it in today. I still need some sort of sub setup, I'll probably make a decision on that in the next few weeks.
