Because it’s a male dominating event. And girls are out there rawking it with hot cars.

I've tried, believe me. I'm just explaining the reason I'm not good is NOT because I'm a female. All motorsports are male dominated, but differentiating between males and females just makes that more obvious. If someone is a good drifter and they just happen to be female, to me them being female has no significance really.

no i dont think it does either just people putting them down for doing it. drifting really has nothing to do with what age or sex you are. you could be 12 and tear it up.

it is cool to see a female in anykind of motorsports, and the fact she's good makes it even hotter. those kind of women are very rare like a 1967 275 GTB 4cam. so when you see one you ohh, and ahhh over it cause its soo cool. its a guy thing and there is absolutly nothing wrong with it. i'd love to have a girl that was into cars, but its hard to find.

I think the bigger point is that its females drifting in Japan. They're still big on traditional roles over there.

why are you not. i really do think if you were a guy and done it as much as you have that you'd be better. i know there's shit I'm bad at the most girls are good at, that I'll never be any good at. i see nothing wrong with that.

And how would you know how much I've done it? All together I probably have 40 minutes of good practice. It's like riding a bike. You might get the hang of it, but if you don't practice it often enough and wait 3 months until you practice it again, you're going to have to learn things over again. My goal is to practice once a week, which would require me to illegally practice once a week so I hope for rain at least once a week during the evening. I have no doubt that I can be good, but anyone (male or female) with a personality like mine would have great difficulty learning something like drifting. (If you knew me you would know what I'm talking about, but since you've made this assumption without knowing me at all, you sound ignorant.) I know for a fact I can be good, I just have to get over certain fears.

+1 for that. Just like they have separate "ladies" classes in autox. There's no point.
If anything, it could be viewed as a public service announcement since women are treated unfairly in this macho world.....

I have an option vid with an all girl drift contest. Some of them are really good. I don't see girls as different when it comes to drifting stuff. Unless they are hot. That's a different story ;)

i know what your saying with the whole male/female spot in cars and such, males drive females model/sit around...when you see one driving though, its freakin awesome, bc it shows interest in something you like to do, i think its one of the best things out there

would you have the same personality if you were male? cause that sounds odd to me. never heard that reason before.
and what i know about how good you are is only what i read. you seem to be the hardest on yourself.
don't get me wrong, girls that drift or race or ride bikes always kick ass. its just very rare they even want to try. so we guys will always be like " wow did you see that and it was a girl" cause we enjoy it more than just some guy.

That's a valid point. It is uncommon for a female to be into motorsports that aren't Nascar. So, whenever there is one, It catches us guys attention. It's not being sexist, It's really cool to see some chicks out there driving cool cars and racing. Kinda like when you see a girl cool car on the road, not like an expensive luxury car, but like a DC2-R, Wrx, and so on.
Back to the vid, very cool. Those girls could kick my ass in a
drift-off and look better doing it. I like the white s14.

Watching the cars or girls? I had to watch it twice, once for the girls, then once for the cars and drifting. Those girls wouldn't really appeal to me walking down the street and I saw them, but drifting like that makes them pretty hot.

I understand where your coming from. A personality, however, has nothing to do with gender. So yes, if I was a male I'd have the same cautious personality. I've met many guys like that.

i get out there, i try to set a diff. goal for myself each time, and each time, i reach my goal and then im ready for the next step. I've had great "guys" around me always giving me advice, and they usually help a lot. I am very proud of myself for being able to do what i can now. When i started i knew it was only a matter of time. Now for the setup on my car, needs to be a little better.
