the amp i have is an audiobahn a1800d, and is suppossed to put out around 1800 watts at one ohm... 1200 at 2 ohms, i already blown a kicker l7 15 in a sealed box, and now a kicker l712 in a ported box. both setups were only at 2 ohms........ the amp is pretty serious, my buddy is running 4 alpine type r's off one of these..... id like to keep the enclosure no more than 3.5 cu ft..... need opinions fast.... sound quality doenst really matter, just want some massive bass....

You could probably run 2 JL12w6v2s off of that amp, there really good SPL subs and can handle about 600 watts a peice, the amp probably puts that out at 4oms, The max watt rateings is what amps are rated at the factory right before they catch on fire. So in reality your amp probably puts out 1000 watts, theses subs should be fine paired with the amp and a ported box.

Who did the benchtest cause that doesn't sound right. Best spl sub for comps are best spl sub daily driving? Best spl sub would have to go to digital designs 99 or 95 seris. Best spl/sq sub, Image dynamics IDmaxs.

RE are some of the best bang for the buck subs. Death pentalys, one of the guys on our team runs them and is ranked pretty damn high up on the rankings for street c.

i work at a stereo shop and we have done quite a few vehicles with audiobahn subs and amp that hit 150 decibels or better and that is respectable

 :bsflag:

If you are saying that audiobahn could be installed in a car that would rank up among the loudest of the loud. Now this also depends on the meter. Lets say that you are using an older audiocontrol, loose meter. This means that you would be ranked up with me, a 152.9. Now i run some serious stuff here in a purpose made box.

I wouldn't be surprised at all to see an Audiobahn setup doing 145-150, but 150+ is pushing it. Is this outlaw, is the mic placed on the dash or what? There's alot of factors....

we have an suv that we did with 2 15s and 2400 watts that hits in the 150s. The mic is placed on the floor under the dash its a linear x mic. Befor int the sam suv we did 4 12 with the same amount of power that hit 151.2db.
