it has to be able to play some burned cds because that head unit plays mp3s....theres no way to make an mp3 cd unless its burned

only thing you can do is try different brand or color cds, i like the black ones

Something is wrong. That deck is capable of playing burned cd's. I'm guessing it's either the format you're burning them in or some sort of setting on the deck. Have you tried a different brand of CDR's?

When you burn them make sur you burn them as AUDIO CD format and not DATA CD with just MP3's on it..

i burned mine as data files and they played fine... i think he just needs to practice up on the burning program...make sure u dont have it set to "Test only" on the program... mine was set liek that and so the cd's wouldnt play

If you just use MP3 on a data CD on a unit that doesn't suopport mp3 files... then that would not work.

i wasnt sure if his model was above or below mine since mines closer to the crapy-er side of alpines things.. but still teh test only thing, if your program has that make sure u have it set to burn and not test, cuz liek i said, it wont work.... o and do the cd's play on other cd plaers?

my freinds alpine plays burnt cd's, half the time, and it doesnt let you switch between songs........

alpines are weird, it can prolly recognise mp3 format only, and not a standard audio file..........?
