after the beach today, i went to the place the no ants vid was filmed and rob followed. we got there and realized even though it was wet, my front tires sucked, but i had my azenis' in my trunk, so we swapped them out and went and had about 20 min of fun, never realized the corolla shot flames until rob drove it. finally, after someone else drives my car they realize its not an easy car to drift, i wish someone would let me drive their SR powered 240 sometime, well anyway, when leaving i was like, wow, my diff is louder now, not like straight cut gears loud, but definately louder. it only does it under acceleration too, deaccell or clutch in and it goes away, maybe the bearings are going out or something, anyone elses opinions?
im gonna do diff fluid change tomorrow since i dont work mondays, its never been changed since ive owned the car, which is about 7 months.

don't know about your diff noice problem, but your car is difficult to drift because of your suspention setup. power has little to do with how well a car drifts. When I had my trd springs and tokico hts shocks installed my car drifted beautifully on stock power and a open diff.
My recomendation for your next mod is get some decient shocks! I'll sell you my tokico hts and help you install them for $350 - 45 way adjustment at top accommodating 2.5 to 15kg/mm spring rates, short stoke design, sold only in Japan for about $450 per set of four. - they are the best shocks you can get for a corolla (way better than agx). I was planning on keeping them, but I really need money right now...

+1 jeff they are the best shocks you can buy... ever.
I can also attest to the fact that shocks make a HUGE difference with the corolla.

the 86 is old and has a soft chassis. when you add stiffffffff springs, you can actually bend the chassis if you dont have proper stiffening in the rest of the car.
