im not much of a drifter altho i think its an awesome way of driving, but why are 240's so popular with drifters ?

cheap and readily available fr with reliable torquey engines with good suspension design and tons of aftermarket support.
i thought it was because every1 else had one?

its rwd, its light, its cheap, all wheel independent suspension, and the weight distribution is very nice.

...it's also super easy to find them in decent condition without getting ripped off

strong KA motor, SR'S on request, very easy to maintain in my case....rwd helps the cause:lol: its just the latest bandwagon after the whole honda thing, everybody wants one cause everybody has one

and even a stock 240 makes you look like a god in the rain. the most fun you could ever have is a bone stock 240 and a nice trickey black top parking lot. hours of fun!

well a powerslide is a Technique of drift. Powerslide and ebrake Drifts are the most common for people starting to learn how to drift.

i used to have a newer model mustang and i always considerd it drifting when i would fishtale it around the u-turns and stuff, i guess thats a powerslide tho :dunno: ne ways thanks for the info

most common aspect amongst definitions of "drifting" would be "sideways before the apex"

I'd say its the FR and the price tag. Hard to find another car with the same configuration for that price.
