Bad News:

Just got word from the track owner that problems with the county and construction permits (specifically,
Certificate of Occupancy, if that means anything to you) are going to prevent us from using the track this
weekend. THE JUNE 12 PRIMUS EVENT IS OFFICIALLY POSTPONED, date to be announced.

Good News:

We should be able to reschedule, hopefully for sometime in July (yeah, it will be hotter). As soon as we set a
date, I'll get the word out. Meanwhile, I'm going to hold all of the entries that I have and apply them to the
rescheduled event. If you can't make the rescheduled date and want a refund, just let me know. I'll probably
go ahead and deposit all of the checks this week so that y'all won't have outstanding checks lingering.

(now I'm kicking myself for not going to any of the autocrosses last weekend!!!)

I need to be sure all of the entrants are notified, so if you're entered and you are reading this, please
either reply here or send me a private email so that I can check you off as "notified". I'll have to call
anyone I don't get this way, and I hate phones. ;-)

boo :) I was looking forward to it.

When you reschedule the event - please try to fit it on an 'open' autocross day here in Central Florida.

thanks

Is there such a thing as an open date any more? Seems like there's always something going on somewhere. I'm going to avoid the SunRiders autox dates, obviously. My preferred date right now is July 17th, which surprisingly looks clear to me.

the 17th looks good right now. (see edit)

Actually, July is a little light on events for me - without GCAC running it opens up a weekend for me :)

EDIT EDIT EDIT - I think that the 17th is going to be the first Brooksville Airport date for CFR-west. :(

Thanks

God damn it!!!

What are we doing for refunds? July is not going to be possible. I'm getting married on the 10th and then won't be back in the country until the 23rd or so. God damn it.

The Brooksville event is suposed to be Saturday and Sunday the 17th and 18th so the 17th wouldn't conflict with the points event assuming that Sunday only is a points day.

You sent me a check, right? I can either return it to you or shred it. Your call. Haven't deposited anything yet.

I guess this means I need to pre-reg and get you money and paperwork in a normal fashion now?

BTW, I think DGTrials might grab Primus for the 17th. They're in the process of scheduling the next drift event there, and I hear primus has two available weekend dates in July.

Yeah, go ahead and send me your stuff unless you want to wait and be sure the rescheduled date works for you.

I hope we get the 17th before DG Trials does! Should know soon. Got my head Primus scheduler on the case. (one of the few things I don't have to do myself)

Loren,

I lurk here allot and I am aware of the status of this event.

Actually I am one of the few that are happy to get another month to get my car running right (as long as we do get rescheduled for July).

Damn 23 year old carbs, all the rubber parts are hard as rocks.

The diaphragm slides are $100 each and I need 4!!!

Looking into ebay for a set of 34mm Mikuni’s

Thanks and let me know if there is anything I can do to help,

Eddie

Guys, I'm lazy. (there, I admitted it...)

I'm not doing anything with any of the checks or money just yet. I'm trying to wait until we get the event rescheduled so that we can all make an informed decision on what we want to do. Yeah, I know, some of you already have your mind made up on what you want to do... I'm just not ready to deal with it yet.

Like the rest of you, I was all psyched up to do Primus last weekend. This coming weekend I'm taking a short vacation. Maybe after that, we'll have a date and can move forward with re-planning the event and all of the hassles involved.

If there is an open spot available for the Primus event let me know. I sold the S10 extreme and now have a car that will be lots of fun a primus. What is the cost for the event?

As stated in this thread, the event has been postponed and no new date set yet. Whether or not we allow more entrants will depend on how much notice we get on the reschedule. The track owner is being a pain in the ass about that... of course, he's dealing with the county, which is also a pain in the ass.

The cost is $70 for non-members.

so any more updates on this? Since I most likely will be gone all of july I don't think I'll be able to make it.

Nothing official yet, but it seems that Manatee County and some of the residents who live in the area of the track are creating a problem. It's looking like July won't happen, probably not even August. Just found this out yesterday.

Next week, we'll be investigating other options and making decisions about where to go from here.

We'll probably end up calling the June event cancelled and refunding all entries received.
