Photos are awesome!! One question... why do the motion pictures not look like they're in motion (wheels aren't spinning)?

too fast of a shutter speed. it coulda been a touch slower, but who cares. i think its kinda funny how we are all used to perfect digital images and these scanned film images look like they where taken in the 70's

Yea I guess next time I should step down the aperture. It was really brought out so most shutter speeds were 1/750-1/1000

That 70s look is mainly due to the scanners, they look a lot better on film

I love the photos, don't get me wrong. I know why they didn't come out in motion, but I was wondering why he did it that way.....

I just like to see wheels spinning a bit... just my opinion, but they look great!

yea a different .f stop would have helped to change the perspective between the center object and the back ground and a slightly slower shutter speed would have helped alot, but its hard to know when you arent doing digital, or dont have a light meter or just alot of experience with conditions like it was on the track, lots of speed, lots of light

Mars_302

Yea towards the end when the shutter speeds got slower from less light though, the pics got a little to blurry all together though.

Heres some more

Why wouldn't he have a light meter?

Cool shots both of ya. I want to get out to another racing/drifting event....didn't get enough when I was at NOPI and I want to play with differnt settings on the 300D :) Gotta get the 28-135 usm is lens though.

Jeremy, did you have a polarizer on for those shots?

Mars_302
06-01-2004, 11:33 PM
No. I was borroing Bones' lense which was a 77mm filter size and he doesnt have a polarizer yet. And I just figured out how to do continous shooting in Priority modes

XtremeSaturn
06-02-2004, 11:46 AM
I can only shoot 4 continous shots in priority mode before the compact flash says stop so it can catch up. What lens does bones have?
