Tampa at D1 this weekend

Honestly, we really have a great group of people in Tampa. Im so impressed by everyones attitudes, willingness to help each other, and the energy we all shared.

People giving each other thumbs up all day, pep talks, sharing tools and parts, chilling in tent village, etc. Prizes, competitions, everything else aside, im proud to say Im from Tampa, and glad to have all of you around me this weekend. Thanks to everyone for your help!!

wow im glad i wasnt there for that.

i had a blast eventhough we ducked out early.

no drama, everyone being nice, 3902 people under 2 little tents.

taylor dunking his head in the empty cooler was great.

the turbo bmw 5 series gave me a boner.

The event was awesome and a majority of the people drifting were from Tampa. Everyone had some nice runs and Matt was smokin' it up in the S13, congrats on making it into the final round.

It was nice meeting funk & Taylor out there. It was pretty insane seeing some of the big time drifters from Japan there including the Drift King himself! That was pretty insane because I dunno about anyone else but I had no idea they were all going to be there.

the turbo bmw 5 series crew were big boners. they were talking so much shit about EVERYONE saying how there drivers the best driver and he can link everything and how he can drift better then everyone. every time the mr2 came out he would talk alot of trash about how he spun out every corner and this and that. i wanted to turn to him and say "atleast those guys know how to unload there car off a trailor"

dude!!!! OMG soo many of the coolest People from Japan were there!!! I bet we saw more JDm stuff then when Jap Danny went to Japan!!! ahhahahahaha i got a couple of autographs including the King himself!!!! dude it was soo bad ass. to bad i did better on the second day when noone was there. ahh well i still had a blast and got to meet alot of people from Cali who were all nice and made the event as good as possible.

they didnt stand and clap for any of the california drivers during the origional drivers search except for aaron when he nailed the barrier. you have to truly be rocking it (up until when he hit the barrier) to get any sort of thing out of the judges.

I just want to say congratulations on the standing ovation Evan... i wasn't there but from what i heard from Eric today, you did pretty damn good rocking your KA.. can't wait to see you with an SR in your car... and no you can't have mine.. lol
From what i have read and seen in the video's, ALL of you Tampa guys did a damn good job repping Florida in this event and Congrats to those of you that made it into the final rounds.. Wish you could have made it to Cali...
