....this is SicK!!!!!!

-----but ok:
i've heard the arguments of idiots over what happens to the ohms when you bridge.

to my knowledge it is that when the 2 channels are bridged together they put out twice the power and that cause the amp to "see" the ohm load as "half the size" thus dividing it by 2.

.....so a setup of subs physically wired to 4 ohms will be seen by an amp that is bridged as 2 ohms correct?

what kinda car is that under?

and as for the question I would chime in with my 2 cents but im not 100% sure soo sorry

Bridging an amp doesn't necessarily mean it's going to put out twice the power, depends alot on the amp.

PS-What do a bunch of alternators have to do with bridging?

runing a 2 channel amp bridged doesnt change the ohm load, if you wire the subs to 4ohm the amp will see 4 ohm, what sub's you runing what ohm load? cuz if you have 2 wires (one for each sub ) and you put them together ie. + + and - - this will cut the ohm load in half,

....the pic was just for fun....kind of excessive......

anyways..... i read in car audio magazine about how bridging an amp will cause it to "see" half the ohm load and how there's a big confusion everywhere about it..... it makes sense to me that if you have 2+ and 2- and you put them together onto the bridged channels then the ohms load will be cut in half.

In my case i had a 2 channel rockford fosgate 601s that's supposed to be only 4 ohms stable bridged. Being the assholes we are my friends and i bridged (1 positive and 1 negative) a 1.333 ohm config to it.....so with that i wasn't 100% sure if i got a 1.333ohm load or a .6555ohm load......

how many subs and what ohm are they ?

4 SVC woofers wired in para. to 1.33333 ohms....so it all comes down to 1 positive and 1 negative. ....Going onto a the bridged channels of this amp......

i'm not too worried about the power output (1800w max @ 4 ohms bridged, somehow did around the same power at 1.333 or.6555, the watts didnt go crazy high)

but will i be at 1.333ohms or .655ohms?

you will be the same going in to the amp the only way you change the ohms is the wireing ong the subs its the same if you put it in one chanel or if its dirdged, because you only have 1 wire going in to the box it wont change

WHOOPS......mad stoner error....i typed in 4 sVC subs.

I MENT 3 ........yes 3 SVC 4ohms in paralell.........to 4/3ohms = 1.333333333333333............ohms

my bad, .....one of those moments.....

.......so yes now 1pos. and 1neg. onto a 2 channel bridged into mono............

ok the subs are wired to 1.33333.. ohms you have 1 positive and one neg. when you put it in the amp no mater what chanell you use it wont change the ohm's you can bridg it or run it on one chanell it wont change

but it we had 2pos and 2 neeg it would halve the ohm load correct?

Did you ever get your positive and negative wires man?
