im posting in drifting rather than general car chat cause everybody in general car chat are idiots to me
with that stated
which is better royal purple or red line
now that im driving more than just a straight line i know that basic performance crap just is not enough
now i need the good shit and price does not matter
so which is better

are you talking gear oil, motor oil, or tanning oil?
only used red line so far for gear oil...it wasn't the magical elixir everybody made it out to be imo, gonna go for royal purple next.
For tanning oil, royal purple all the way....only downside is it kinda stains, so you're left with a purple tint to your skin for a week or so.

I have used royal purple and red line and can say they are both worth the extra $. My tranny tunnel in side my car is noticeably cooler and my car shifts better. The only reason I like royal purple better is because of the color. :)

redline mt90 in the tranny made my old corolla shift much better. I've never used royal purple, but I know the redline is some good stuff!

He, sirs, is correct.
right now I have redline in my transmission, valvoline in my diff, amsoil in my engine, valvoline in my brakes, and god knows what in my clutch lines (probably pond water).
I'd probably put redline/royal purple in my diff except I only had the autozone selection to choose from.
...and redline did make my transmission noticeabely cooler, but the fluid in there must've been trashed to begin with. I noticed no significant improvement in shifting after adding it however.
There probably isn't one company that makes the best lubrication for everything in your car.

i filled my tranny and diff with royal purple, then my tranny started leaking bad after the accident..
bye bye to 50 bucks worth of oil...
but while it was still soaking my gears, i noticed smoother shifting and cooler tranny temps, and i have a little bit of a syncho problem, but the purple made it shift just like it was fine.
