Camaro vs. s10

Tonight I had a great race with a kid in a late model v6 camaro. He was automatic, with intake, headers, y-pipe, and muffler. He passed me as we came up to a light, and I got behind him. At the next light he go in the far left, and I was in the far right. When the light went green, we took off. We both stayed pretty much dead even all the way up to about 90 if I had to guess. I think I might have had a nose on him, but I am not really sure. After the race he asked what I had done to my truck. When I told him he couldn't believe it. So we pulled over and chatted for a bit. He was cool, but a little distraught that he wasn't able to pull away from me. I wonder if I should have told him that I had a couple of tires, waterski and pressure washer in the back of the truck? Anyway, the camaro was blue with Silver stripes on it, I think. Either way, it was a fun race. Does anyone on here know the guy?

I kind of do .. I ran him once and pulled really hard and then couldn't get it into 3rd gear so I just let off.

He goes to st. pete college, seminole campus.

The only power adders on mine are a Jet Chip and Full Msd ignition.

and you could run 9.2s in the 1/8th? only if you had a v8 in it.

Not at all. Stock 4.3. Stock air intake,exhaust manifolds no power aders besides the chip and ignition. My 4.3 is the CPI.

im with obrien on this one.. sounds too fast for just those mods even on a cpi. Id have to see that with my own two eyes.

I'm for real. I would never own a vehicle with a V8 in it. I hate V8s.

Well, that isn't too bad. My mustang bone stock /w exhaust only trapped 73.X and 94 in the 1/4.

of course its not fast enough, but not bad considering what it is I quess. All I know is that Dan (camaro) was rather upset that he didn't beat me.

Thats pretty fast for next to no mods, I trapped 91mph in my 2001 jimmy and clicked a 14.901. And that was with 7psi going through it.

My 1994 S-10 was runnin' 14.60s with no power adders.

By power adders i assume you mean no N20 or boost, so what exactly did you have done. I had a powerdyne on mine and nothing else what so ever, not even a exhaust. Of course I was a lot heavier than a s-10 but anway.....

If I could get out of the hole better, I would be in the 14s, I know i have the mph, but not the 60'. My truck is a 5 speed also, so that helps a bit up top.

I loved the S-10. It was an automatic but with a filter and exhaust the 4.3 was a beast!
