so went to the dyno today on my 1/2 ass street map on my megasquirt 1st pull was 129hp@ 7050rpm and 115.9TQ 4200rpm . By the end of the day i made 154hp @ 7500rpm and 117.6tq@ 6450rpm.

It is making this much TQ with the VVT OFF. I dont know if its bc the ignition mapping is tuned so awesome or what, but the car makes no more power with the VVT on (and I know its coming on bc i can hear that audible growl from the intake when its on) The car GAINED 15hp at the wheels by removing my air screens from my home made air horns, i guess it was creating a lot of cavitation with the air, so i modified them. The thing i dont understand, the power curve falls off the map after 7800rpm. At 8200 its only making like 125whp. I have NO idea why its doing that, again, it might be a fuel delivery problem, i dont know. We keep adding in fuel, and it was still running lean. im going to change the fuel filter tomorrow, see how backed up that was, hopefully i dont have to put a pump in it.

just incase you dont know my mods list:

20v blacktop
megasquirt
DIS
home made air horns.
STOCK header.

the vid. www.accordclub.com/rolla right click and save as the dyno1.MOV

i am REALLY happy with the power, never heard of a 20v making that much power with stock internals, but i just dont understand why it falls off up top.

i hauls pretty good ass now too

I thought the stock DIS stuff couldnt keep up with the fuel tables after 8k RPM ?

Heh...didn't I say that screen looked uber restrictive? ;)

What did you end up using instead? Ever look into the one piece gigantic filter made to fit over quad throttle body or carb setups? Hate to see you suck in something lethal into that motor.

i think your problem would be the stock 16v exhaust manifold!!! its not designed to make power past 7500 and thats right where your falling off so i would start there. it can't get the exhaust out fast enough so its choking power. a stock 16v makes its power at like 6400 so by the time you get to red line your not making shit. go get the TRD 4 into 1 and you'll lose alittle down low but you'll make it up at the top end.
