ive never done autocrossing before and was just wondering i guess if i would get lauged at if i brought my 96 civic ex w/ a few bolt on to an event...i know it wouldnt be fast...but i kinda just want to get a feel for it you know?

The car doesn't matter. We've all seen some serious POS cars turn fast times. We've also seen some seriously fast cars turn horrible times.

You'll have fun. Bring it, run it. Grab an instructor and read the "novice handbook" located in two of the sticky posts up at the top of this forum. Watch some video at www.GoFastVideo.com or look in PseduoRealityX's links and watch the Protege runs (all RWD on GoFast).

Bleh, just come out to an event and spectate. Take note of what workers do on the course and if you can, grab a ride with someone who is running. At the end of the day you should have a feel for what these events are like and if you enjoyed yourself, run out, buy a helmet, and come to the next event ready to compete.
