We haven't had one of these threads in here yet, and TrueBlue on TR suggested it, so here it is!
Please, lets keep this thread going positive, maybe it will be some famous 20 page thread someday!
Post pictures, updates, progress, random stuff drift related in here.

I'll be an example.
I'm Mattback, I've had the name for years, and I got into drift around the same time that I first met Rob. I remember he was telling me about taking a 240sx and an old 240Z out in a stadium parking lot and having lots of fun sliding around with them. Oh the days of heather the nismo hoe. Oh well. fast forward many moons.
I've been through many iterations of S chassis, and the famous old Z31, but the current participant is wolverine.
starting with a 1990 240sx i purchased from www.xatracing.com , i proceeded to do pretty much every suspension mod i can easily install on the car. the idea here is stiffness, and low, while maintaining street car status.
I built a custom differential for it out of a Z31 clutch pack differential. These are getting easier and easier to find, and if anyone's interested, I can help show you how to make them.
I used to be terrified of turns at high speed. I've been in a few good car crashes with people doing the " check this out, this is cool " gimmick. I've finally gotten over that fear, and i've evolved into an alright driver. I'm not a natural, but I have a good amount of practice under my belt. My mechanical prowess helps me diagnose most of the problems with the cars, and helps me set them up better next time.
I am a wheeel and tire junkie. I love trying new wheels on, getting radical compound tires on the car , I can't get rid of old ones, I'm always trying to run the highest grip possible. I would rate myself as a very weight shift oriented driver, upsetting the balance of the car to break it loose as compared to using the power or what not.
I've made lots of enemies, but amazingly, through maturity, i'm starting to get them back as friends!
Current setup:
My signature, but as far as the tires go
AVON ZZIII 225 45 17 JUNK!!!! on 17x7.5JJ +30 Racing Hart Tracer 4h114
YOKOHAMA AVS SPORT 225 45 17 on 17x8.5JJ +40 Racing Hart Tracer 4h114
every1 calls me funk. im 17. i look 12. i bought my car off some fat sweaty guy. i think im an ok driver. i lack power so im forced to drive me 93 hatch as if it were a corolla. but i get by. soon im doing a cage, coilover, and possible sr.. who knows. who knows. i dont.

My name is Jonas, I use my first name as my SN on any forum heh can't be original enough...i drive a 93 240sx HICAS, clean and healthy running car... i got into the whole "drifting" thing back when i was 14 and did not even have my lisence yet, basically hearing stories from Arjay, watching video and going out on saturday nights once in a while... i dont pay attention to the negative feedback i get from others when it comes to my "driving", no one is professional and everyone learns at some point... at what point who knows and who cares...
anyways i love how we are having all these events, never thought the Tampa area would start a great new venture but yeah.!!
about my car, has Sr swap with basic bolt ons, the car came with VLSD, iam doubting my suspension... the kyg agx shocks are fine but i dont think i should have gone with the Ground Control coilovers... the rest of my suspension is stock so the rest of the modding will come from the driver skill...
tire set up includes 205-50-15 falken azenis up front, and some 205-60-15 Fate- O 30 tires out back... all 4 on SE wheels sprayed graphite grey...
wrapping it up, nothing out of the ordinary but its all about fun.!!!! see sig and gallery for pics...:D
My name is James (a.k.a. MR_Mandingo), I drive a 1995 240SX SE. I fell in love with the S-chassis after I wrecked my beloved B12. I haven't done any drifting but enjoy the way my car handles. I've done the averag mods on my car such as: OBX headers, custom 2.5" exh w/Apexi muffler, NGK wires, Ngk platinums, RS limited wheels, Dunlop SP9000's (front) Kuhmo Ecsta 711's (rear), Sprint springs, Energy Suspension bushing set, WAI w/K&N filter,Brembo cross-drilled rotors, that really about covers it. My future plan for the car is to get an SR w/auto tranny. Yes, I said auto tranny. I just want to do something different. I'm to lazy to shift ;).

Well I'm George or 7rueBl4de as is my s/n. I'm new to the drifting wourld my freind Toung got me into it. Him and his bro are gods with mechanical stuff. Well seeing as I'm new and not rich i don;t have myself a car to drift. My ride is a '93 Honda Del Sol S. Nothing major done to it: Cold air intake, 17" rims kumo tires, some stupid like ricing lights on the insides been there befor i bought it. I'm from Dunedin, but hange out at my girlriends over in Wesley Chapel mostly. That bout sums it up. later

Hello
My real name is Pablo, I'm 20. I own a 1996 240sx SE, I fell in love with the car as soon as I saw it (Even though it was wrecked, but I saw the potential), sold my 1994 4DR Accord for it. I don't regret it at all, cept can't ride out with all my friends as I use to, but its all good. When I first got my 1st car (Honda Prelude) I would always go into empty parking lots and yank the e-brake and spin around, didn't have my 1st real experience til I drove down to Tampa for D-DAY 1, and I loved it, cept that I sucked, but hope to get better soon.
As far as Mods to my car, I have AGX's with SheepDog springs and Subframe collars. I want to get and exhuast and some nice Tension rods along with the Nismo Power Brace, also some Camber plates would be nice. Also Strut bars....theres alot of stuff, LOL.
Hope to meet you guys/girls in person one day ( I live in Jacksonville and it sucks.....
Heres a Pic of my WHIP...LOL......I mean my car

Hi, my name is Matthew Chin, everyone has called me chin since like 4th grade, I got into imports when I was in like 5th grade...what is that like 10 years old? I was an old honda/acura junky swore that my 1st car was goign to be a GS-R till I discovered a little known thing at RWD. What fun! I got my 240sx for 1k and promply took out the Once cam, only to get my clip for my 240 a few weeks later. basic mods listed below. Over time I have been improving my driving skills at the autoX and the drift events. But much more improvment can be had. Had to swich out crappy Spec 2, no one buy spec 2, spec 2 sucks ass. Spec 2 is crap (get the picture?) Anyways best mod I got so far is SSPL rom tune I make more power at 7psi than most make at 14psi with same mods - sspl rom tune. Im ready for the 12's with new clutch. and more drifting.

I'm 25, 6'1" about 350lbs. I look like a shaved gorilla with a mohawk, septum ring, and a good deal of tattoos. I had a nice daily driver towncar and was about to buy a '89 240 cpe when i let my mom borrow it and she totaled it. I am currently looking for another ride. I've had 15 vehicles since i was 16. Including a harley, tube frame camaro, z32 na, and various others. I work as a PC technician and a tattoo artist. Been into drifting for about 6 mos. Just trying to learn more before i do anything stupid.:D

Hi my name is Alex, aka Plopokiller, I like long walks on the beach, candle light dinners, pretending i am a drifter, and well i am a Leo. Anyways I transitioned into drifting from biking. I used to ride hardcore and always have. First car I ever attempted to drift was a 92 Lincoln town car. Well I take all that back. The definition of drifting as I see it is actually holding a race line, while sliding the back end. Drifting as a friend told me is a series of combos well thought out be for hand. You basically race ahead of your self. I wish one day I can have this control but for now I am a wanabe. Anyways my vehicle i am currently driving is a 90 s13 240 with SR. I have several mods, but nothing to radical.

I'm Jeff
I'm in the air force and was stationed here about 6 months ago. My job is sattelite communications. I'm from northern california, so I've been to a few of the drift events in cali, I only participated in one (like two days before went into the AF) but was hooked. I grew up sliding around on my atv everywhere and basicly doing crazy stuff in cars all the time, so drifting came naturally for me. Oh and I'm 21 and have had I think 19 cars so far. I guess I'm addicted to buying cars... I currently have a 85 and 86 corolla GTS coupes, and a 86 toyota turbo pickup. The 86 corolla I've been drifting, but I'm going to sell it soon so I can do some crazyness to the 85 (need more funds).
I love trying out different cars and seeing how well I can drift them. My favorate so far has been the corolla, and well I've had 5 of them... The hardest thing Ive ever tried to drift was my truck. But I eventually figured out how to get it to slide. I live for this shit so pm or aim me if you want to go drifting or want advice or whatever
My aim is toyotageoffrie
I'm not sure what I'll be drifting at dday II, but whatever it is expect to see it sideways!

My name is Charlie, i am 20, i go to usf and i am a Z (and Nissan)freak. I have an 84, 85, and 90 300zx and unlike the rest of you i get too attached to my cars and therefore never sell them. My friend has a 93 duece and i love it but told myself i wont buy anymore projects untill im done with these 4 (i also have a 74 datsun pickup) so i just drift sometimes in his 240 cuz its so much easier that the 300...but im working on that. I had a woman for like 4 years but ditched her..or did she ditch me? i cant remember, something about spending more money on cars than her or some crazy bullshit...women:dunno: ...anywho, drifting is the greatest thing since sliced bread and i plan on having the 84 out there for dday2.
also i suck way too bad at computers to have cool little sigs
and the best thing is that school is out and i can work on my car everyday without "studying":dunce: :? :thumbdwn:

names jace, 19 tampanian all my life and plan on it for a great while
this is a slight "how im hooked on drifting" story
have owned 3 cars but daily driven 5 (2 were my parents)
the first car was a manual 84 turbo volvo station wagon FR
when i was about 8 he taught me how to drive, like by myself drive. this was all on a stick. i sucked at shifting cause i had to sit on my dads lap and i shifted and steered while he foot worked, but thats besides the point. he taught me how to oversteer understeer countersteer all that good stuff. and he even taught me how to power slide it. me being a kid thought that was cool as how. so basically my first drift was around the age of 8.
the 2nd car i daily drove was an automatic 87 jeep grand wagoneer woody styled. this car was awesome. it had a little switch that made it turn from 2wd to 4wd or back to 2wd. this was quite fun in turns. i was driving this car around 13-14.
i would speed into corners with 4wd on, then flip it back to 2wd and laugh my ass off as the rear end swung out. it was great. i did this so many time si cant remember so then i was"drifting", but i still consider it powersliding, seeing as how i really didnt know what i was doing
then MY first car (3) at the age of 15
1992 Mercury Grand Marquis. by now i was crazy into cars. and seeing as how i had a part time job and what not with absolutely no bills. i through about 9000 into it within 2 years
saleen 281 swap ... l;ong story short i did everything possible to this car
had 350+ na whp
and over 400 Tq please do not ask how this happened i dont know nor remember
but that car roasted tires like a fire does a marshmallow
i made that car manual. so now i was downshiftin turns and basic drifts but in a GRAND MARQUIS. but still not knowing that i was drifting. plus they were also still powerslides to me
that car was stolen from me november 02
my second car (4) 99 toyota camry blah blah fwd sucks ebrakes sucks not wasting time
got it down to a 13.2 with top end of 168mph both on spray
my third car (5) 1986 toyota corolla finally a car that i love.say around when initial d first came out and i realized what i was doing was drifting. either way its the coupe not the hatch. but i stil love it. ive thrown 900 into the suspension alone and all i have are agx shocks, trd japan springs, t3 rcas, t3 lateral rod, t3 front strut tower bar. but right now my rotors, toe rods and brake lines are fucked so my car needs a 300 front suspension surgery. either way i just bought the car and have only been able to go driftin a couple of times but im lovin it even more no that is in a car that i love and what not
so basicaly nowadays all i do is work on my cars, sleep, eat, go to work, and think dream and go DRIFTING.
thats a little about me, i felt like sharing
maybe ill tell some more later

My name is Charles. I'm 29 years old, and started building and driving imports back in 1992 when I built my first CRX. That's when I discovered Auto-x's. In 1994-1995, I lived in Misawa Japan where I first witnessed drifting (although I didn't understand it). Since I have owned built many Hondas, from a Turbo 1999 Civic Si, 2001 Integra Type-R, to a 1989 CrX Supercharged B18c5.
But all that came to a stop last year when I had my son, Joshua. I started getting "more" interested in driftng when Taylor started drifting his miata @ a BMW auto-X @ MAcdill AFB (that was what? 2000?). I haven't built a RWD car yet, mainly because of money. I still want to, but my son comes first. Instead, in the meantime, I have turned to video production of Drifting.
My name RiceRocket was given to me by a bunch of mullets back in 1992. I pulled up to a "Local Trends" meet @ steak and shake with a 1987 CRX that had a Jackson Racing header and cam, Centerforce clutch, and back mesh 16's. with eibach springs. The name has stuck since.
When the money frees up in the near future (hopefully!), than hold on. I am well known for building some of the cleanest cars.

Ralph
05-03-2004, 08:18 AM
Though Im not into drifting as much as the next guy I'll chime in:D.
Names Ralph and Im 24 years old. I've been a gearhead since I got screwed over in highschool when I owned a 84 BMW 318i and found out the hard way how expensive it cost to pay someone to simply change your brake pads. I've made my way through CRX's doing my first B16a1 Swap myself, to owning a JRSC'd SOHC 5th gen Civic, to a semi built 4gen GSR . When I realized how much money I had put into the GSR and it still wasnt what I was looking for, I turned to Nissan via Bandwagan and opted for a 96 Nissan 240SX which I aquired for 4k. 3 months later I did my first ever Nissan related install, and dropped in a 91 180sx SR20det motor in my backyard.
So far, from what Taylor says, Im the stockest SR in tampa:D I've been to the first DDAY and was very pleased with it. Though Im more of a 1320 guy, I would like to eventually have my car setup to handle and provide monster power, but will continue to spectate at the local DDAY events until I am ready to compete in one.
A few pictures can be found in my gallery.

Names Bill, love Toyota's but got into nissans cause all of my friend had them and i got hooked up cheap. i'm 25 and have been into cars since i was born. my dad tought me how to drive in his 62 mini cooper when i was 8. my cars of choice are toyota celica's supra's and corolla's (which i have owned all) but as far a 240's go i would say that its the best car you can buy thats not a toyota. i got into drifting when i bought my 86 corolla GT-S used back in 99 and got sideways out of the dealer. I can basically make a car do anything i want to when i'm behind the wheel and have an uncanny talent when it comes to driving. i have never really had a money so i go out and compete in underpreped cars and always piss people off when i do as good or better than the guys with money. it just goes to show that it doesn't matter what all you have done to your car, it matters on how you make the car perform. i can do alot with nothing, whatch out when i get a real car!!!

I'm Ryan,
I'm 18, senior at Gaither, out of school in like two weeks. I have a 92 red s13 se fastback. I'ts got very little mods done two it, just a cheap aluminum intake, soon to be short ram, apexi n1 and the infamous spec II clutch wich everyone says is garbage but has given me no problems. maybe it just likes ka's. also a s14 ka but that doesn't really matter i guess. It's lowered on eibach sportlines and still have stock shocks and struts. had some rotas on it that i had goten for my 91 base model to replace the stealies, but i have realized that they don't have anywhere near the right offset so they are now bock to the stock 7 spokes. thats about it for the mods.
I got into drifting when i was really little. probly about six or seven. but i didn't really know any thing about it or what it was really called. i used to slide my go-kart around in empty parking lots around light post and stuff all i knew was that it was fun. from there i moved up to a little bigger car. A 71 supper beatle!!
that's the car i learned to drive in. my dad would take me to empty parking lots at night and let me drive. once i got use to stick i just tried doing suff like i did in the go-kart. And that's were it all started for me

im john,17 years old.im not much a drifter and have only tried on occasion.but i have allways been into old corollas and 240s.hope to get to drive more often.i own a corolla gtsr5(converted sr5) basically stock with the exception of the gts 4disc brakes, lsd, and the monster 4age.feel free to take alook yourself.

I don't post in here much... spend most of my time in Nissan/Infinity Tech. Right now, I like to watch drifting. The WRX isn't exactly ideal for it.
I'm 24, have an electrical engineering degree from Georgia Tech, and design stuff at M-Audio. M- who?? Ask someone that's into recording or MIDI.
I'm about to seal the deal on a very clean, very non-running, very automatic, 93 240sx SE coupe. Plans are to swap in another KA with a 5 speed. My future in drifting has yet to be decided.
This won't technically be my first S13. I've swapped an SR into my brother's 90 hatch twice now. It started as a silver chassis (no wheels, suspension, engine, trans, and blue interior), and I built from there. Now it's rocking a blacktop, FMIC, Blitz realize TT, vlsd, SE alloys, KYB/Prokit, black int., etc. You can check out part of it at www.carbonite.org/~epstein but it needs a big update. It doesn't even have the part where the redtop blows up!
It's good to get to know the people behind the screen names.

im mike, im 20. this is the only forum i post on in the whole website.
i live in orlando, but i come to every drift event [that doesnt have walls] and am working to get some legal drifting action in orlando.
i drive an s14 with a list of goodies, and am waiting on a downpipe to rock out with ka24det.
oh yeah, and i make sweet, sweet love to guardrails and curbs.
my name is gary(surprise surprise) and am 23. i drive an 89 s13 coupe w/ s14 ka swapped by xat. been into drifting a few years now, never really put much effort into trying, but really really enjoy watching and riding even more. i've riden w/ taylor in his miata at one of the sunriders autox's way back when and also mattback in a show of his suspension goodies not too long ago. i plan on participating at some point, but it comes only when i can safely afford it, more important things like buying a house and another daily driver have priority now.

Hahaha. Dude, I will drive to Orlando ANY TIME to a practice drift event. We should definitely get some stuff going on there!! I know there are a TON of 240 drivers over there too (at least from what I see when I'm there).

Hey, don't worry about how you look at DDayII, just worry that you're actually learning. It is a practice event and though some will be personally competing, you should only be there to practice and have fun.
As for suspension, I love my suspension, but it wasn't cheap. Check out my reply above to find out what I have. If you're looking for the ultimate drift suspension I'd have to say that Mattback has it.
i will vouch for mattbacks suspension!!
holy shit!!
manji at 65 mph with no body roll! sidebrake forever!!! omg i love it, im getting the same fucking setup... you need a diff too btw, not a welded one, a real one.

Im Ben, Im a sophomore, 16, and have a 2001 v6 mustang that hates to keep traction around turns.... Im here to learn.. I have to say, owning a go-cart and sliding around corners sideways got me into this..
P.S. my car is the master of the one-wheel-peel.

I'm Mark, 24 y/o. I'm into drifting but am too paranoid (about cops) to do it regularly. I like to drive fast in my slow car.
BTW, I have a Corolla with light mods, rust etc...

Craig, old, s13 w/SR. Due to busted ass suspension, I don't do much right in turns but I do like to lose traction in a straight line. I don't "drift" per-se, but I do go out and do some "stress drifting" once and again to vent. Most of ya'll know me for my Mustang history. Very fast stuff.
The end.

Im James, 19, St. Pete/Tampa. I own a few toys. However I'd rather be going sideways then in a straightline while in my FD.
i was born in south st pete.
my dad left when i was 2 and went back to germany.
i started liking boys, but shiza had an intesting appeal to me.
;)
maybe ill type my real life story thing when im not so tired, and at school, looking over my shoulder for the teacher.

Tyler Nathe here. SN TNATHE for obvious reasons (pronounce NAAATHEEE btw.) I've always been into motorsports and doing stupid shit with my car. I used to have a civic before all this drigting stuff came about and e-braked every corner and intersection I came too. It got to feel so natural so when I ended up totaling it (hitting someone in 30mph traffic) I had to buy a rear wheel drive car.
I am one who has to have something unique so when I was looking at 240's, because of their cheaper insurance than the SS Camaro and better gas mileage, I had to have the last production year they made them since they are not seen everyday and I think they are sexy as hell.
So far my car has 18" RH C2's, HK$ HiPower exhaust, Bomex Type V spoiler, Eibach Sportline springs. I am in the progress of turbo charging the KA as some of you may have noticed my non-functional intercooler at the TR meets. All I have left is to build the exhuast manifold and fabricate the intercooler piping. OOO, I can't wait. I've always wanted a turboed car.
Future plans for my ride are different wheels, I want the ones that you see in the advertisements for the drift body kits and such, they are so hot! I also want to get some struts to go with my springs, along with some strut bars, sway bars, etc.
you should get some skyline r33 wheels.
and run into stuff, it will make ur car prettier and maybe make that front tag fall off? ;)

my ride is a 89 mk3 supra.
1jz-gte swap, full 3inch exhaust, bilstiens, lowering springs, toms wheels, other small stuff.
back in 1st grade my dad bought my brother and i a go kart, so i learned to drive very young. i love to have fun in cars, the giggle factor of a rwd car is unmatched. love to get right on the limit of looping out. too much fun. the agent89 name came from the year of the car and too much to drink with friends.http://img64.photobucket.com/albums/v195/agent89/1jz/P5012021.jpg

My name is Chad , Im 23 , SN is C9P7D ... I have been into cars all my life but , Drifting has cuaght my eye only recently....(sigh)
My whole car club is getting involved and we are looking to learn and have some fun in the process.
I own a blue S14( kouki ) with S14 SR swap.. Tien HA coilovers . Anti sway bars . alot of other goodies as well..
I hope to be meeting alot of you in the near future...
Hello, my name is Adam, and I'm 15 yrs. I drive a 93' 240 hatch that's completely stock right now. But.... I will be getting my tein suspension in about a month. I would like to drift, though i cannot find a place near Englewood to do it, though my dad knows of a few places.. just discloses their location from me. I know a good bit about 240's for my age, though cannot vouch for 1st hand performance, because I haven't gotten a chance to mess around with it. I look forward to drifting.

dan.21.
i drive a black 240sx. it was built in july of 1996, so you can figure out yourself what year it is.
diy black headlight/corner/signal lense housings
shaved emblems/antenna
intake/downpipe/test pipe/no egr or evap or obd2
sway bars/greddy fr up brace/spl tc rods
26mm z brakes, slotted rotors, speed bleeders, metal masters, stainless lines
stainless clutch line
108,xxx miles
gunmetal stock wheels
electric fan
it is what it is. it has been to the drift and the drag track. its rather slow. i enjoy it and it gets me to work and to school.
it has pretty much retired from drifting, as i am too poor to compete and need to spend money on new clutch, rather than tires.
plans are tentatively for ka turbo. rebuilding the motor in my garage, not sure on stock or forged rebuild yet, likely 9:1 forged though. plan on running a 370/hacked mafs gti-r t28 setup and later stepping up to gt25r. just going a different route.
thats about it.

Name is Jon. I am 21 years old and live in Orlando. I have a job as a mechanic at Hans Foreign car Service. Monday through Friday all I do is work on German cars. Saturday and Sunday all I do is work on my friends cars. I drive a Miata. I bought it in late 2000 after getting sick of my Civic. I got in to drifting from reading the magazines and playing Gran Turismo. My car is just the basic turbo Miata. It has a greddy turbo kit, front mount intercooler, 3 inch cat back exhaust, and racing beat swaybars.

I'm bucket....
Acquired my education on the mean streets of East Orlando resulting in undergraduate degrees for useless-shit-that-appearantly-doesn't-really-get-you-a-job-after-all and vehicular anti-physics.
I can most often be found at Dunkin Donuts, Tijuana Flats, Thai restaurants, or the darkened streets of empty business parks.
My car has enough parts on it to keep it rolling and on occasion sliding...
My favorite vices are autox, drifting, and IMSA
I also like Miata Drivers ;)

Dominican Drifter
05-10-2004, 05:21 AM
Im Mel AKA Dominican Drifter, Obviously im Dominican and Im a wannabe drifter! I used to lived in Tampa but AirForce made me move to North Dakota, but a after 3 1/2 very cold years I finally got orders back to Tampa, I can wait! Ive been into drifting even before I knew what it was. Ive always been a fan of traction loss and as a kid I would e-brake my big wheel  , but serously got into it watching WRC sliding around corners, and resently a little over 6 yr ago I saw Japan video of the doing it on pavement (Drifting) and just flipped. Sences that day Ive reseached what i could, and since 2000 Ive looked for a 240 and finally found my baby in Sept 03! Right Now Im mainly focused on the suspenion and should be done with the suspension by the time I get to Tampa! Ill worry about getting an SR20 when I get to Tampa! It a daily driver for now untill I get to Tampa!
Ive practice drifting a but haven't been in any event yet. There a few events im trying to attend soon!
So far:
Cusco RS 1-2 way LSD, Tanabe Strut Tower Bar (Front&rear), Tension Rod, Rear Upper Link, Camber Arm, Rear Toe Rod
Tanabe Strut Brace (Front& rear), ACT Street Clutch Kit, Fidanza Aluminum Flywheel, Nismo Front Lip Spoiler, Genesis Battery (Small, 13lb), custom intake
Alot more! :D
im Mike. im Eighteen. I dont own an everyday "drift" car. Its a Merkur XR4TI that will be under the knife very soon once i can find a T-5 Transmission. I have been out drifitng several times and find it rather fun. i hope once i get my project up and running i will be out there sliding with you all.

POLLO
05-18-2004, 04:05 AM
Hello My name Adalberto Rivera aka POLLO and Im black male 25 years of age.
I started with imports back in 1995 when I first picked up a Honda catalog and saw the 1995 civic hatchback and fell in love. 2 years later I got a 1996 Hatchback which was not my first choice of car but that's what my father got me as a gift. I then continued life reading magazines and not really working into cars until 1999 when I purchased the 1999 civic si which is where I got my hands dirty and started doing basic work.. for major jobs I would hire John @ LHT but one time I said fuck it, niggaz like me can learn to wrench and I eventually did, performing a swap in a b16a CRX purchased from John @ Secret Services and then I started messing with other peoples car until I finally reached serious enthusiast level. While I always admired the sport of drifting, I never tried it myself on a RWD car just because for some reason I can't get away from Hondas. Who knows maybe some of you guys will help a brother out sometime.
I quit working with cars about 1 year ago in order to pay a huge debt cause my credit card misuse along with car payments from that damn SI. FFWD to 2004 and the SI has been paid off and Im debt free, I did take a sabbatical and moved to Alaska from Florida with the intentions to stay in Alaska but at this time Florida is calling my name again. Expect to return by summer 2004.
While I stopped working with cars, I remained current with the automotive industry as well as the aftermarket industry.
What I remember the most about drifting is that back a few years ago when Taylor had the Miata a lot of people really thought that drifting was stupid and that was not going to be able to make it. I was one of them and that makes me appreciate the sport even more because I doubt about it long time ago. I thought It was fun but thought it was just a fad..... I remember congregating at Mattback house and just watch that damn drifting cartoon Initial D... haha ..That was classic..... now Matt doesn't even return my calls because Im black.
Oh yeah and if this counts I beat HYBRIDTIM back in the day...lol

21 here<< drift was the scene since i was 16/17, too bad i had my clunkin FF Acclaim... die stop sign die! Anywho, Tampa East and 9th Shell were the original drift spots, for those who remember, that sh!t was hot. I cant afford much for the car so the mods listed in my sig are not much, but i can weight transfer like your mother!

im absessed with Mk3 supras and will hopefully be owning another one shorthly and show most of u the drift of a heavy ass supra

hey guys my name is Matthew Giddens my friends have called me giddenz since i was about 10 playing football i curently live in Bayonet Point(about 40 miles N of T-town) i have been a fan of the 300zx since i was 10yoa and i currently tool around in a 91 z32 na no big mods just a molded body kit..
I have been a fan of traction loss since i could drive. probably remember playing grand tourismo and not playing like most other players.. going into the turn aabout 3-4 times too fast and using the hand brake to slide around the corner, all dukes of hazzard style..but i just remember the1st day i got to drive my dads 92' supra the 1st day i got my licence going to the gulfview square mall parking lot at like 6 am and ripping doughnuts, getting it slideways.... not even knowing what "drifting" was until NOW and this was way before my 1st car. It was a 89 mitsu mighty max(a mini truck white slamed with 6 15" JL-AUDIO w1 sub-woofers, but when i got my2nd whip is when i got into the whole IMPORT scene it was was a 89 toyota celica GT-S(totaled by drink driver),man i loved that car.. the 3rd was an Acura legend. and now i got my current whip my z32..
Since this is my 1st real RWD car. also woth the knowledge of dori dori.. i have been at it for about 1 yr but i really need to practice and get my self in order.. looking for a corolla(ae86) as my "drift machine"
N-E-WAz keep the scene alive and i will be out in a week to show my support and get mad cuz i blew my clutch and my car is recieveing ,rps sport clutch, fidanza flywheel, z1 1piece 1/2 weight drive shaft, U R under drive pulley w/ belts, also going from stock to shock with jmy set of matching MOMO steering wheel seats, shift knob, mats, and red leather package to accent the GUNMETAL PAINT on the outside.. you will see will post b4 and A-ftr pics..
keep getting it sidewayz.. drift or die
